Pete rested for hours till he needed to go to the toilet and get a glass of water.

When he got up he noticed his head still hurt and although he felt dizzy, he still went downstairs to the kitchen.

"Hey, Pete." Tae greeted him with a smile. He was sitting at the kitchen table looking at some papers.

"Hey, where are the others?" Pete asked looking around.

"Aspen is putting Venice down for a nap, you just missed them actually." Tae looked up from the papers.

"Oh, okay." His head was spinning more and more with each passing minute. One moment he was fine and the other he was holding the table for leverage and clutching his hurting head.

"Are you okay, Pete?" Tae stood up as Pete wobbled, catching himself

"I'm fine, just a little dizzy." He brushed it off but when he regained enough strength to walk back to the bedroom, getting a drink long forgotten, everything turned black. The last thing he heard was Tae yelling his name and catching him in his arms before his head could hit the floor.

Pete hated hospital for too many reasons. Bu for one Vegas landed there at least twice a month and two the bright lights and the beeping sound when you woke up.

Pete woke up exactly to that. When he opened his eyes, he was almost blinded by those bright lights and it didn't help that the headache from earlier was still there, but fainter.

"You're awake?" Aspen was by his side in an instant as she saw him regaining consciousness.

"Yeah." Pete found that trying to talk wasn't an easy task as his throat was dry.

"Here, drink." Aspen helped him sit up on the bed and handed him a glass of water.

"Thanks."

"How are you feeling? You know you gave us quite a scare."

"I feel much better but the headache is still there. I'll probably be fine for tomorrow."

"You sure? Maybe I should go get the doctor." Pete stopped her before she could walk out in search of someone who could help.

"Achara, don't. I'm fine."

When hearing her second name coming from Pete's mouth Aspen immediately sat back down on the edge of the bed.

"What did you just call me?"

"Hm? What do you mean, I said not to go and look for the doctors. It's not necessary."

"No, not that. You said Achara, that's my middle name."

"Yeah and? I probably heard someone say it and it just slipped I guess."

"Pete, no one knows about my middle name except my family. You weren't family three years ago, you couldn't have known about it."

"I...Well..."

"Pete." Aspen looked him dead in the eyes.

"What?"

"You know, you're really bad at lying."

"Nothing goes by you unattended, huh?" Pete smiled at his sister-in-law. He couldn't hide it, he could never hide something from the twins.

"Pete?"
"Are you really back?" Aspen looked at him with hope in her eyes.

"What do you mean? I was always here. I promised you didn't I, that I wouldn't ever leave."

"Only if Vegas did something really bad yeah, I remember. And even then, you would take us with you." Aspen smiled wide, her already teary eyes producing even more tears.

"Oh, don't cry now." Pete wrapped her in a hug, letting her soak in the warmth of it. The Theerapanyakul twins were the biggest babies Pete knew, they were babied a lot alongside Chay and Venice.

"Can I ask you some questions to confirm it?"

"Sure, if it makes you feel better." He knew Aspen wasn't a really trusting person. They had worked on it a lot the past couple years. With each passing day she trusted people around her more and more. But she still had her doubts.

"What's Vegas' second name? Wait, no that's too easy, everyone knows his middle name. What's Tae's full name?"

"Full name?"

"Yep." Aspen nodded.

"Kim Tae-won." Pete smirked.

"I gave you the hardest question I have. I mean I'm happy but it's no fun." Aspen pouted. Pete laughed at her antics.

"Could you please keep it to yourself for a while? I don't know how I'm gonna tell Vegas yet."

"He's going to be the happiest man alive when you tell him."

"No, I know, it's just...I didn't really react the best when he told me the truth. He's probably really hurt right now. Has he said anything to you yet?"

"No one's seen or heard from him today, at least not since you went to give him breakfast."

"Wait, really?" Pete automatically went into panic mode hearing that.

"You know him, he does that." She was trying to calm him down.

"Yeah, but did he tell anyone he was gonna be MIA?"

"No, but calm down. He's probably going to come out of hiding tomorrow and everything will go back to normal."

"I really hope so."

Vegas was the type to disappear after a fight or after something bad happened but he always told someone that he was just clearing his mind and he'd be back later. Going completely MIA on them has never happened to Pete before. So he really hoped that his husband was okay and that he will show up for his youngest cousins wedding tomorrow. He needed to.

Although Vegas was probably alright, Pete couldn't help but still worry about his missing husband.
