Section Three: New Life
After Yoongi finally got out all of his grumbles and you were able to send him off to one of the spare bedrooms to get the sleep he hadn't gotten on the airplane, you eyed the box on the table with some concern.
Now that it was here, it was a much more real thing. But Yoongi opening the box kind of ruined the idea for you, which made you want to pout in an entirely different way.
You cleared up the lunch dishes and carried them back to the little table Fabrizio set up in the hallway for you and called down to let him know you had cleaned the balcony. He waved to acknowledge your comment, and then you ducked back into your bedroom.
You sent a text to Namjoon, letting him know that both Yoongi and the box had arrived. You saw that it was read, but he didn't respond, and you figured he was either still stuck in that meeting, or he was with someone at the moment.
In fact, it took almost another hour before your phone rang, causing you some concern.
"Oppa," you asked and as soon as you saw his face you knew whatever had happened at the meeting carried over. "Please tell me you did not just get home."
He must have glanced at the clock on his phone and made another face as he tugged off the tie that went with his suit.
"Those idiots from JISA Software think they're Naver. Not the nobodies they are. We wanted to entertain them because honestly Livie, it makes more sense to get an understanding of what they're trying to do. At this point though, they're so freaking annoying that I think we should just buy them instead," he said. He put the phone down and you were left staring at the ceiling a moment. He leaned over a second later and you saw he had unbuttoned his dress shirt and it gave you a serious pause.
"Joon," you said, and he had a small smirk on his face. He raised his eyebrows suggestively, causing you to grin before he stepped back.
"I know you wanted to undo those buttons yourself Jagiya," he said and now you were glad he wasn't there to see your blush. "But I'm thinking that while Yoongi-hyung is still in the house, it's best not to start that sort of thing," he asked with a question in his tone, and you hummed in agreement.
"Or um... Open the box today Oppa," you said. There was a bit of a pause before he answered you with laughter in his voice.
"Ok yes, fair point. I think we can set that aside for another time. I mean, it's not like you're quiet about it when you get excited, Liv," teased Namjoon and caused you to move from blushing to a pout in an instant. You listened to the rustle of his clothes coming off before he began to explain more about the meeting.
It had gone past midnight, until nearly one a.m. before Hoseok had declared the negotiations dead in the water. Apparently, JISA Software executives had not appreciated that and tried to continue, but Hoseok pointed out that it was a ridiculous hour to do business and if they wanted to schedule another appointment, they could do so in six hours when the doors opened to Bangtan opened again.
It took nearly another hour to clear them out, then Hoseok and Namjoon had headed back to the house, only to be caught in the backup from an accident on the highway.
Finally, Namjoon came back on screen, and you wanted nothing more than to rub away the tired lines from his face. He smiled for you, and you smiled back reflexively.
"Liv, I was doing some thinking," he began and cut himself off with a yawn.
"Oppa, you should sleep now," you chided, and he shook his head again.
"No, I wanted to talk to you about something. Before Yoongi gets back here anyways," he said and now you were curious. "I think although they are the most gracious of hosts, that I'm about to become a third wheel in a much more obvious way," he said. You thought back to the conversation with Yoongi just before you'd sent him off to sleep himself and nodded a little.
