Confrontation

You stepped out of the liveried car that your brothers had arranged this morning and instantly the whirr of shutters and flashing of lights of the waiting press pool called to mind a hive of angry wasps.

The sound fit your mood perfectly.

You waited for Namjoon and the others to exit their vehicles and then there was a buzz as the press realized that you and Namjoon were wearing what could only be a couple's outfit. The whirr of the shutters got louder, but Namjoon stepped out and stood close by. He helped you to ignore the press's calls to stop and pose, before you turned and strode into the high rise holding the JISA Software offices.

You had doubted this tactic last night, but the others had convinced you. Hoseok had spent fifteen minutes last night going through the clothes you and Namjoon had brought only to declare success when he found you both had clothes in the same shade of royal blue.

Namjoon had his button down because you'd told him how much you liked him in that color. You had your shirt and skirt because the color had reminded you of Namjoon. It was unintentional, and once again showed just how much you thought of the other, while both doing your best to not think about the other person. Hoseok, however, had been thrilled.

"Couples outfits," Hobi explained, and it made you laugh.

"Isn't that what brand-new couples do," you asked. "Like college and high school kids?"

Hobi had just shaken his head.

"Look Livie. The image we're going to present when you're wearing these at the same time will not be unnoticed or subtle in the slightest. And what better way to make a statement without saying anything at all?"

Eventually you had gone along with it and now from the noise of the shutters and the underlying murmurs as people saw the two of you, you thought perhaps your brother had been on to something after all.

You were greeted in the lobby by a forest of Korean men in suits and you were delighted when your brothers held back a step, allowing you to control the situation. Your royal blue high heels rang out against the marble tile of the glass enclosed lobby and you walked towards the center of the suits.

"Good morning. I understand there's a meeting between JISA and Bangtan this morning about a potential buyout? I had not yet been informed, so I apologize for not being in attendance previously," you said in your best Korean to the man in front of you.

He looked taken aback, but manners forced him to offer his hand and greet you.

"Yes. Good morning. I am Choi Kyung-chul, Dae Pyo Ee Sa of JISA Software group. I'm afraid I didn't catch your name Miss," asked the diminutive man standing in front of you. His black suit fit him poorly, as if he didn't wear it often, and you thought he might be in his early sixties or late fifties. The men around him wore suits of varying shades of black, and most gave you the impression of salespeople rather than engineers.

You felt your brothers step up behind you, and you smiled at Choi Kyung-chul again.
