"No mom, I'm not going anywhere with you." I hissed as my mother tugged my arm to get me out of Del's room.
She rolled her eyes.
"Please, don't tell me you fell in love with the kid. He's just using you for his parents benefit, get that through your thick head." as she said the last part she hit my head with her index finger.
"That's not true. He loves me and his parents are good people."
She laughed at this. "Good people? Good people? Are you stupid or what? If they were good they wouldn't had bought you and forced you to marry their son so that they could ensure the family business. That's how it is with the rich, they conceal everything."
"You aren't any better. They did me a favor when they took me away from you." I snapped and finally got out of her tight grip.
"You insolent fool!" her eyes flashed dangerously. Then a wicked smile printed itself on her lips. "Do you think Mikhail will be happy if you left me?"
"Don't bring Mika into this!" I said a bit too loud and Del stirred a bit and I held my breath.
He didn't woke up.
"He loved me, I'm sure he wouldn't want you married at this young age much less pregnant." she smiled like a cat who trapped her mouse.
"Mika would want me happy. I am happy married and pregnant." I fought back tears.
I miss my brother so much and her bringing him into this is really low.
She laughed again. "It doesn't matter anymore. I returned the money to the Thomson, you're coming with me."
"No."
"You are still in my custody, you're sixteen."
"Seventeen." I corrected her, not sure where she's going with this.
She waved a dismissive hand at me. "Doesn't matter, you still cant go where ever you please, you're not eighteen. I am your mother and I have the right to have you with me."
"You don't-"
"I can send the Thomson's to jail if I want. You're still not of age, if they keep you away from me I will accuse them of kidnapping and rape." she played her card.
"You wouldn't." I said a bit panicked.
"Don't test me." she paused and took a look at Del. "What a shame, he's a handsome one. Now go pack your clothes and I'll pick you up tonight."
With that she left.
"Oh God." I ran out of the room but my mom was gone.
"Sweetie what's wrong?" Mrs. Thomson asked a bit worried.
"My mom wants to take me away." I began to cry.
"She cant do that. You married my son, you're life is next to him."
"I'm still seventeen." I cried even harder. "She's going to take me away from you, from Del. Oh god no! I cant-she's-no. No."
"That wont happen. We'll get a lawyer, we'll get you back. In the mean while try to stay in contact with us okay? We wont let you go. You're like a daughter to me now and I doubt Delany will ever forgive me if I let that woman take you."
"But you cant win. She has more rights."
"She sold you to us, that's a black spot on the list. Plus you are married, it wasn't against your will at the end. I'll fight for your custody." she hugged me.
"Thank you so much."
"What's going on here?" Aidan asked.
"Aidan!" my best friend.
