Three long days have passed since Delany's incident.
He hasn't woken up and the doctors are getting worried. If he stays like that for too long its less possible for him to come out fully recovered.
I called Mr. and Mrs. Thomson and told them about the situation, they immediately canceled their meeting in Russia to come back and see Delany. They'll arrive tomorrow morning, hopefully.
I need someone to rely on and they are the closest thing I have to a family. Of course my friends have come to see how Del is doing, how I am dealing with all of this.
It helps but, its not the same thing.
Right at this moment I'm sitting on the chair next to Delany's bed, holding his hand hoping, wishing, he'll squeeze back or show some signal that he can hear me that he knows I'm here, waiting for him to wake up.
"Take your time getting better, love. But you better get well. I miss you, our daughter misses you. Yes I'll let you win this argument, I'll wish for a daughter if that's what you want. We need you Delany, so much that it hurts. I can't imagine my life without you, I really cant. It'll probably be hell itself, misery. With you I have the whole opposite, I have love." I cleaned the tears running down my cheeks.
I stood up and lightly placed a kiss on his lips. If only he'll respond to that. "Get well for us, you're going to be a father. Don't expect me to raise our child alone."
"Scarlett."
It was Aidan, he looked really sad. And I mean who wouldn't be?
"You need to get some sleep, its not healthy for the baby if you're stressed." he said softly and gently placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Stressed? I'm more than that. My husband, the future father of my baby, is laying on a hospital bed unconscious. Stressed is too little a word to express how I feel right now." I snapped.
Aidan gave me that understanding stare and smiled a little. "We know that, but think about your baby. Why don't you go to my place? Take a shower, sleep some and tomorrow morning I'll drive you here myself."
He had a point. "Fine. But tomorrow morning I want to be here."
"Yes, ma'am."
I placed a kiss on Delany's forehead and left with Aidan.
"Guys I'm taking Scarlett to my place, she needs to rest. We'll be here first thing tomorrow morning." Aidan told the guys then gave Brie a kiss before we left.
I noticed how tired they looked. These past days I haven't gotten out of Del's room so I don't know if they've been out here since then. Erin's eyes were red and puffy, she has been crying.
"What did the doctor say?" Aidan asked as he drove out of the parking lot.
"Doesn't really want to give me false hopes, he said there's a slight probability that Del will forget everything or that he'll have gaps in his memory. Maybe he'll forget I ever existed or he will remember me but wont remember I'm his wife." my voice broke at the end and Aidan placed his hand on mine.
"Del is a strong guy, we'll make it out. He'll be fine. After all this is gone we'll have a gathering for your birthday. Everything will be back to normal."
I nodded, the knot on my throat didn't let me talk. Oh I wish Aidan is right.
We arrived at his place, his parents were on a trip somewhere. He said he picked up some of my clothes yesterday and handed me my bag. I couldn't help but blush when I noticed he packed me a pair of panties and a bra together with a pair of black jeans a loose red shirt. I mumbled a 'thanks' and went inside the guest room, got inside the bathroom and began to undress.
