10 years later...
"Kids get up, time for breakfast!" I said as I opened both of their room's door.
They were so different and yet so a like.
"Come on Kyle, get up."
"Don't want to." he buried himself in the covers even more.
He's barely fourteen and thinks he can conquer the whole world.
"If you don't get up, then you wont have permission to go to the concert." I threatened.
He loved those rock bands, he was the one who inherited the joy of playing guitar.
As soon as I said that he got up.
"I'm going to pee first!" then he went inside his bathroom.
I walked out and into Kayla's room. Unlike Kyle's dark and gloomy colors her room was shining with bright light.
"Come on baby its time for breakfast."
She groaned but got up anyways.
I got out to give them their space and went downstairs. We still live in the same house, and have the same maids and chef. We all grew very attached.
I gasped. "Delany what are you doing up so early?"
Ever since the company had risen he didn't have to work much and he always woke up really late.
"Tell me about it. Its Saturday and I'm awake before twelve!" he threw his arms up in the air in exasperation, then he kissed my cheek. "Where're the kids?"
"Both are in the bathroom."
He nodded and we sat on the kitchen table. It sort of became tradition to eat there while we were surrounded by family. On other occasions we ate at the dining table.
We heard the fast foot steps and then Kyle and Kayla burst inside the kitchen.
"I won!" Kayla smiled triumphantly as she sat next to Delany.
Kyle just rolled his eyes at her and smiled, then sat next to me.
"Charles I want a sandwich." Kyle told the chef who just nodded.
"I want pancakes." Kayla giggled.
"Fruit is alright for me, you?" Delany raised an eyebrow.
"Same."
Charles nodded and got to work while Anne and Kate served us the orange juice.
"At what time is this concert thing?" Delany asked Kyle.
My son's eyes lit up. "Eleven. Its going to be so cool! Curt, that's Sam's older brother, is taking us. I might get my guitar signed!"
"Sam's brother? How old is he?" I asked a bit worried.
Kyle rolled his eyes. "He's eighteen."
"The concert is tomorrow right?" Delany asked.
"Yes. So can I go? Please?" Kyle made that adorable face none of us could resist.
Delany sighed. "Yes."
"Awesome, you're the best dad!"
"Mom are you taking me to ballet classes today?" Kayla asked.
"Of course. Del, Kyle is going to Sam's house, can you take him? And meet this Curt guy?" we both knew that when it came to our kids security Delany got pretty scary.
