"All the memories we had, they're gone now?"

Y/N's POV

After a few minutes of sitting in the car and dreading walking in to face confrontation, I finally got out and went inside the station to give Jordan the last few things from me.

"Y/N, it's good to see you!" Sheriff Stilinski beckoned me over and gave me a hug.

"How've you been Sheriff?"

I tried to give him a decent smile that would hide my true feelings as he answered, "Pretty good for the most part when there isn't a bunch of stuff going on all at once. Are you here for Parrish?"

"Yep, is he here?"

Sheriff Stilinski looked over my shoulder, "He's coming in right now. We should meet up and have lunch together sometime, I miss seeing you around here."

"Sure! It would be nice to catch up with you and Stiles again."

Jordan walked past us and into his office and I chose to end the conversation there, "I'll call you so we can schedule that. I need to go talk to him, I'll see you later."

"See you around!" He exclaimed, then I went on.

Knocking lightly on the door I asked, "Can I come in?"

"Yes." Jordan responded as he took off gear and placed it on his desk before he looked up at me.

We stared at each other momentarily and after a few seconds I decided to break the silence, "I brought you some lunch since I know you don't usually bring some with you before you go to work."

I placed it on his desk and he looked at it before saying, "Thank you."

Pulling out the key from my pocket, I also placed it down next to it and continued, "Here's the key to your place."

His expression soon turned into a frown as he asked, "Why are you doing this?"

"We already talked about this, Jordan. I'm not going to be in a relation-"

"You're going off of what? I've never cheated on you, Y/N/N!"

"You're in love with her and don't act like you're not!" I took a moment to compose myself before stammering out everything I was feeling, " I-I'm putting my own feelings to the side so you can go be with someone you're into. I don't want to be with someone who is only still in the relationship because they feel bad about the situation."

Jordan's eyes started to water and he quickly averted his gaze, "All the memories we had...they're gone now?"

My lip quivered watching him look distraught but it was for the best, "They're not gone, our story is just over."
