Stiles feels terribly guilty after your death and it takes a quick toll on him

Stiles pressed the cold button to go down to the main floor, the coldness of which he was numb to.

He sighed heavily as he pressed the floor number watching the silver doors close. The red numbers slowly changed before abruptly stopping. He looked at the elevator door, noticing the faint image of someone behind him that he knew wasn't there before. Still staring at the image behind him, he hurriedly tapped different floor numbers, and he prayed that it would work but to no avail it didn't.

Stiles turned around anxiously.

Water dripped onto the floor as if they had just been pulled out of it, and he stared at the droplets, the puddle rippled as they kept falling.

Recognition dawned onto his face, "Y/N?" Stiles questioned in disbelief.

"Why'd you do this to me, Stiles? Why did you allow for this to happen?" you asked with your jaw noticeably clenched.

"I..." Stiles started to say but was interrupted by your taunting.

"You should've been there! You're such a piece of shit, Stiles!" you exclaimed as you hurriedly turned your head in his direction.

Stiles back away slowly, "Y/N..."

Your eyes, nose, and lips were bloody red but your skin was blanched.

Your expression suddenly softens as you said, "I loved you, Stiles."

He stared terrified, not know what else to say, as your expression quickly changed once again.

"Why?!" you shrilled, running in his direction as Stiles screamed covering his face.

The ding of the elevator broke him out of his stance.

"Stiles? Are you okay?"

Stiles looked in Scott's direction and answered a quick yes before looking around the elevator, but you were nowhere to be found.

"I gotta go," Stiles said quickly, walking out the elevator to his Jeep.

He jumped in and slammed the door, gasping for air with lone tears running down his face.

Your true spirit watched him sadly from afar and said, "It's not your fault, Stiles."

the void stiles imagine will be coming soon but for now i wanted to post this. just to make this clear, in the elevator that was his consciousness playing with him. you're not truly there till the end of the imagine.
