"So... where are we going?" Seki questions as they are walking down the street, both wearing some casual clothes. Well, it's hard to find anything casual in Seki's closet apparently, because his most casual outfit is still a hanfu.
"I told you, it's a surprise," Raiden says, his hands in his pocket as he's sharing a soft smile with the other. He's not sure why he actually went through with making today happen, or why there's this small spark of excitement bubbling inside him. Going to the arcade isn't even a great idea; there's a chance Seki might not be into that kind of thing. Maybe the aquarium would have been a safer bet after all?
Raiden softly shakes his head at himself. It doesn't matter, he decided on the arcade so that's where they're going. No turning back now.
He doesn't know what he was thinking when asking the elder out for a trip like this, but he just labeled it an attempt to get Seki to experience more of the 'human' side of the world. Maybe that's a way to tell himself that he's just doing this to give Seki some insight and not because he wants to spend more time with the supreme.
And that's how he found himself heading for the arcade with the man he's supposed to despise. Considering many supremes are old, they don't really find technology as amusing as humans do, especially younger people. Not to mention, the mall where the arcade is has almost entirely human or endear visitors. Even though humans and supremes have lived side by side for years, some places just experience a separation between the groups, simply out of habits and norms. Just like endears and humans are separated at school.
So, it would surprise Raiden if Seki knows anything about the arcade, nevertheless having tried it. And considering he hadn't even tried ice cream, Raiden can only bet this will be new to him.
"Is it ice cream again?" Seki asks, "or maybe... some other food?"
"I'm not telling you," Raiden replies.
"The ocean?" Seki then questions again, as if Raiden didn't just say he will not reveal the surprise. The younger male looks over at the other, lifting one eyebrow slightly as he suddenly sees something close to a sparkle in the supremes eyes. Even though he's still walking with his perfect posture and calm demeanor, Raiden can tell he's more excited than he lets on.
It's a strange sight really, Raiden didn't think he would get such a reaction from a simple surprise. But... if he has started to learn just a bit about Seki by now, it is that he doesn't really go on outings like this a lot. So, it's not so strange he's excited.
Raiden feels himself frown slightly, but the corner of his mouth can't help but lift in a crooked smile, "Tell me, what's the last time you hang out with someone aside from Yua?"
Seki seems to freeze a little at that question, but he still has a soft and happy expression on his face, even though the question might have been a bit sensitive. The male gently pushes some of his long bangs behind his ear and sends him a tight-lipped smile.
"It must be decades, I can't even remember clearly," he says, "Sorry, was I being pushy?"
"No," Raiden chuckles slightly, "It just seems that you don't get out much."
Seki hums in agreement and nods his head, "Well, the reaction I often get is the one you saw at the party at the castle. So, I often just stay put to avoid annoying anyone."
Raiden looks down for a second at that, recalling what the people at table 17 had told him about. That Seki might be some cold-hearted mass-murderer, and that's the reason why everyone is keeping him at a distance.
But as Raiden's eyes lift again and fixate back on the male beside him, he has a hard time believing it. As always, Raiden is captivated by Seki's stunning outside, but more than anything... he feels like he's starting to see more of the inside. Maybe more than he would actually like, because it's becoming harder and harder to ignore the fact that Seki might be someone evil or dangerous.
