Hunting

Poisoning someone to death, a way of killing Taehyung had always despised, because that's what backstabbers do and he certainly wasn't one. But for you, he had been going out of his ways.
He looked at the body lying in front of him and sighed with satisfaction, a burden had been lifted off his chest.

He had kept his promise.

He had killed your father.

That night, after being caught in action by Jina, he didn't immediately kill her. Taehyung was anything but an impulsive killer, he loved the thrill of planning and executing his moves carefully.

He also predicted Jina's next moves. Being the curious little girl she was, Taehyung was sure Jina would go on a hunt for evidence, she would try to dig up on Taehyung's past. She would probably even take the help of her boyfriend, Jungkook. But as he observed Jina and Jungkook for the next few days, he reached the conclusion that Jina hadn't told her boyfriend but she was definitely up to something by herself.

Taehyung loved this part of the game. Letting the prey think that they're the hunter. For now he would let Jina think that she was winning.

To add more to his list of reasons, he knew how important Jina was in your life and how hurt you'd be. You had just lost your dear friend Hobi recently, and Jina's death would just shatter you. So he held himself back.

Also, Taehyung had something else on his priority list. He had a promise to keep and he needed to act on that first, and he did.

Right now, he was with you, helping you out in the kitchen, acting all normal, one wouldn't be able to tell that he had killed a man last night.

You were marinating the pork belly when you got a call. Washing your hands, you immediately answered the phone.

"Yeah, Jina. What's up?" You said after reading the caller ID.

"Y/n- I" She was shaking, you could tell just by her voice.

"Jina, calm down. What's going on?"

"Your- Y/n, your father." She stammered.

"What? What about him?" You were growing tensed.

"You need to turn on the TV right now."

You hung up and immediately switched the TV on.

"KANG MINHO FOUND DEAD IN THE HOSPITAL WHERE HIS TREATMENT WAS GOING ON. POLICE AND DOCTORS HAVE GIVEN NO STATEMENT ON THE REASON OF DEATH." The Headline read.

The TV remote slipped through your hand as you crashed to the ground.

Taehyung came running to you like your knight in shining armor. "What's wrong, love? Are you okay?" He said engulfing you, trying to help you up but you didn't budge.

Taehyung looked at the TV screen whilst kissing you on top of your head.

Last night you were working extra hours because it was Friday and things always piled up towards the weekend.

You texted Taehyung that you were gonna be late and he instantly replied. You smiled at his cute "miss you" text not knowing he was standing right next to your father's dead body.
He did miss you, he wished he could show you what he had done, how he had kept his promise, you would be proud of him, right? But he was also scared, you might try to run away from him and that's the last thing he wanted.
