Watch your back

Taehyung was out of the Hotel in no time without being suspected. He had also done the needful, that is, planting audio bugs and cameras in Hoseok's room of course.
Now, Taehyung had to make his move on you. He knew the more he waits, the more you'd slip away. He had to tame you, make you his.

You were now sorting your house. Jina and you always made quite a mess whenever you are together. She usually stayed back and helped you clean but she had to go meet Jungkook. And here you were, doing all the hard work when you should have been resting on your day off.

When you reached your living room you noticed some of your stuff was still lying there from last night. You reached for your purse and you went through it just to make sure that you had everything you had carried.

But your mother's pendant was missing.

You panicked and quickly checked your wallet, but in vain. You were not able to breathe. You've lost your mother's last gift. Did you drop it in Taehyung's car by any chance? You were really wasted, so that might have happened. You tried calming down and dialed Taehyung's number. He insisted you both exchange phone numbers when he was leaving and you didn't mind.
When Taehyung's phone rang, he smirked, looking at the screen where he could see you.

"Hello, princess." He played along.

"Ta- Tae" You sobbed.

"Princess? What's wrong? What happened? Do you want me to come over?" His voice full of concern but a smug smile, you couldn't see, playing across his lips.

"No. I just- I can't find my mom's pendant. I think... I dropped it in your car. Could you pl- please check?"

"Sure, princess. Don't worry I'll check. If you've dropped it in my car, it must be here. I'll check, please stop crying, baby." He reassured, as he played with the pendant hanging from the rear view mirror of his car with a sinister smile.

"Tha- thank you, Tae." You hung up.

"I'm sorry for doing this to you, love. But I have to. I'll make it up to you for all your tears." Taehyung spoke as his thumb brushed across your tiny figure on the screen, caressing it as if it was you.

After cleaning up and searching the entire house for the pendant you decided to watch TV and just lay there for sometime before cooking dinner. You kept checking your phone from moment to moment, hoping Taehyung would call and tell that he found it.
You switched to the News channel, just to catch up on whatever you've missed, not that you care, but you wanted to stay updated.
That's when your eyes landed on the familiar figure on the screen.
Your father, making an announcement regarding his Multinational company.

"Sir, why the sudden decision of stepping down as the President?" The reporter asked.

"It wasn't a sudden decision, I had been planning it for a while now and I think my son is capable enough to take up the position." The old man in tuxedo replied with a genuine smile.

"We've heard rumors that you have a daughter too. Is that true? Are we gonna see her join the company soon?" Another reporter asked. Your father stared at her blankly, blinking a few times, too shocked to answer.

He cleared his throat before speaking. "Well, I do not have a daughter. So the rumors are, well, just rumors." He said, laughing it off.

You were holding yourself together till now. But the instant that laughter escaped his mouth, you burst into tears. How could he be so cruel? He cut you off and your mother when he chose that woman over his family. He didn't care if you're alive or dead. Never even called you. Did he hate you so much? Did you not exist for him? He loved his stepsons more than he loved you? He hated you so much that he denied your existence to the world? On national television?

You were losing it. What you were feeling was beyond anger, hurt, despisal, or hatred. You felt numb, but all the veins in your body were popping out. You felt abandoned, unwanted, unloved, worthless. You felt like you should not have existed in the first place. You felt like, even dying couldn't set you free.

Right then, you heard your bell ring. But you just sat there, not moving a bit. Then you heard your door unlock and you glanced at it from your living room. It was Taehyung.

"Princess, I found the pendant." He came, almost humming. And you just ran to hug him. He engulfed you with his strong arms as you let yourself be the crying mess you were.

"Hey, why are you crying?" He asked, caressing your head.

"How could he?" You blabbered, but Taehyung knew exactly what you were talking about. But you can't know that, he can't tell you, not now. "Who, princess? Who hurt you?" He asked.

"He- he should have died. It's him who should have died, not my mom. I wish he was dead." You went on.

"Shhhh- It'll be alright, love. It's okay. I'm here." He kept caressing and peppering you with soft kisses as he thought in his head,
"Wish granted, my love."

-

"I've brought dinner." Taehyung announced from the kitchen while you were laying on the bed holding your mother's pendant, exhausted.
You didn't even realize when all the caring and pampering turned into a makeout session and you ended up having sex with Taehyung again, on the very same day, even though you had promised yourself that this would be a one time thing.

But this can be considered as an exception, right?

"Do you want to have dinner now? Should I bring it here?" Taehyung poked his head through the door of your room which was slightly open.

"No I'm coming." You said and he nodded and left with an adorable boxy smile.

Your body was sore but you managed to get yourself to the dining table, and smiled at the dishes that sat on the table. "I got Chinese food. Hope you like it." Taehyung said.
"I was craving Chinese food. Thanks, Tae." You replied.

You were an open book on social media. Anyone who followed you, would know you stan Chinese food.

"Why are you doing this, Tae?" You asked, out of the blue. Everything he was doing was unusual and felt good but you didn't wanna fall for this shit again. You didn't wanna end up hurt again.

"Doing what, princess?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"This. All of this. Calling me princess. Cooking breakfast for me, buying me dinner. Acting nice. Why are you doing this?"

"To impress you." His answer was straightforward, and he looked right into your eyes.

"I told you I'm not-"

"Ready for a commitment. I know, princess." He completed the sentence for you. "I know. I just want you to give this a chance." He urged, holding your hand and caressing it.

"I- I don't know." You said looking at him but the butterflies in your stomach weren't helping as you looked him in the eyes. "We can date, I guess." You blurt out.

"That's more than enough, princess." He got up from his chair, went over to you and hugged you tight.
"That's all I needed." He whispered.
