Office was in shambles the next day.

One of the most valuable and loved employee was no more.

"We meet again. How have you been?" He said, smiling and you just nodded, placing a forceful smile on your face.

"I'm fine, officer."

"So, how close were you with Mr. Kim Mingyu?"

"We weren't exactly close, our conversations usually revolved around work."

"I see. But here's the thing, you were the last person he called, if you weren't that close then why did he call you out of all the people?"

"I don't know." You replied. You were starting to think that he was suspecting you. He thought you had something to do with Mingyu's death.

"The call duration was 28 seconds, Ms. Park. He must have told you something."

"No, I didn't hear anything from the other end so I thought it was a butt dial and I hung up when I got no answer from the other side."

"Hmm. Okay, let's believe that for now." He said as he jotted down something on his notepad.

"Where were you at around 12.25 pm yesterday?"

"I was in the office. Just like everyone else."

"And you didn't step out of this building at all for anything?"

"No, of course not. I get off only after our work hours are over."

"Interesting." He hummed.

"I don't understand, officer. Am I a suspect here?"

"We can't completely scratch it off, Ms. Park. It just seems like very bad things keep happening to people you know and those around you. It's starting to not look like a coincidence, to be very honest."

"What are you suggesting, officer?"

"You lost your friend recently, in a car accident, am I right? Ms. Yoon Jina, right?"

"Best friend. Yes, how is this related?"

"The truck that hit her was a stolen one, it was unregistered.
