I strolled over to Amnesia's house, she said she wanted to tell me something..
I knocked on the door and her mum answered
"Hi honey" she smiled
"Hey, is Amnesia here?" I ask
"In her room, is everything okay with her?" she asked
"Yeah.. Why?" I question
"She hasn't left her room all weekend" Mrs.Lewis sighed
"Oh" was all I could say, I was shocked
"I'll try to talk to her" I smile.
"Thanks Luke. She really trusts you"
"Really?" I ask smiling
She nodded before mentioning me to go up
"Thanks, Mrs.Lewis" I smile walking up the stairs
I was about to knock on her bedroom door when I heard a voice
"Hi Amine. It's me. Dad. I just wanted to say-" before the male voice could finish it stopped and I heard a loud bang
Then a moan of frustration
"Amnesia?" I whisper opening the door
She had her head in her hands. She looked at me and I saw her eyes were blood shot
"Was that your dad?" I ask
She nodded
"I'll go if you want-" I start but Amnesia grabbed my hand pulling me to the floor
It shocked me at first
"Have you heard that voice mail before?" I ask
She shuck her head no and passed me her phone. I looked at her confused but then she pointed at the play button
"You want me to play it?" I ask
Amnesia nodded
"Are you sure you don't want to be alone. I can leave if you want" I say
Amnesia just kept pointing at the play button
"Okay. Here it goes" I sigh pressing the play button
"Hi Amine. It's me. Dad. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. Today is November 10th and you won't be seeing me again.. I know you think I do care for you but I do. The reason I walked out that room when I saw Ben hurting you was because I was too scared and shocked to do anything. When I left I went mad, someone was hurting my baby girl and I let it happen. And I'm so so sorry Amnesia. I'm on the M25 right now and I'm going 120 miles per hour. You suffered and that's my fault, I am also in pain and I can't take kit anymore. Amnesia, baby, I love you so so much and don't even think I don't. I've done wrong I know but I never meant any of it. Look after your mother and dump Ben, leave him and show him what you really are. I want you to be happy, do what makes you happy, and don't let anyone stop you. I'll be watching you from the clouds above. I love you and I always have and I always will. Your forever in my heart..." Her dad spoke
He struggled to get some words out and there were many pauses. Once he had finished there was a long silence before you heard a loud smash and a yell before the line went dead.
I put the phone down and whipped the tears from my face. I looked at Amnesia who was crying silently, she eyes were shut and she was gripping the floor, rocking back and forth slightly
She has been through so much
"Amnesia, I'm so s-"
"It's not your fault" She sighed
"I know but I'm still sorry" I say
"Can I tell you what happened with my dad and I?" She asked
"I-if you want" I say
She nodded and began typing away for what felt like forever.finally is pressed speak and I listened carefully to what she had said
Turns out her dad and her were really close. She was a daddy's girl. She said she would always want to be with her dad over her mum though she loved them equally. Then she started dating Ben when she was 14, he was 15.. They were all cool like a young relationship is, then when she turned 15 he was 16 and began getting angry a lot which lead to him abusing her. That stopped her talking a bit but she wasn't mute. One day her dad saw it happening and did nothing then obviously he killed himself.
Since November 10th Amnesia went mute. And it just so happens, today is November 10th.
She said all her dad wanted was to be happy.. But she isn't
"We all want you to be happy" I say after a while
Amnesia nodded and pointed at me.
"What?" I chuckle confused at what she was saying
She pointed at me then her, then me again.
"I don't get it" I say
She rolled her eyes, pointed at me then smiled goofily pointing at her smile.
Then I understood.
I make her happy.
