Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I toe my camel and trust in Allah, or should I untie her and trust in Allah?" The Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Tie her and then trust in Allah".
"After my graduation, no matter how much I tried I couldn't get a job anywhere. Everywhere I went, I was either rejected due to my background of being brought up in an orphanage or because I didn't have an esteemed letter of recommendation or worse I didn't have sufficient funds to buy my place into the company"
"So I started writing small pieces of news articles on my blog. Till then to take care of my expenses and living, I worked odd jobs, but they were too meager and even if I forget the food and anything else, just to put a roof over my head was too expensive. One day I got an email from a small press firm saying that they liked my articles and wanted to hire me. Though the pay wasn't very good, it was enough to put a cheap roof on my head and some food on my plate."
"So without giving it any thought, I agreed and joined the firm without any delay. Initially, things were fine, I mean just a normal small news printing firm, with not-so-important news, small theft, or at most celebrity news, but soon, after around three to four months, things started getting weird or maybe I started noticing them late."
"I had started discerning that the owner of the firm didn't pay heed to any big news, he never took efforts to cover an important story. It wasn't only the owner but the employees as well. It was as if they purposely wanted to lay low and not to attract attention towards their newspaper, even though it didn't sell more than ten newspapers a day."
"One day I received a call on the office phone when everybody else was out having lunch. There was a man on the other side, and the first thing he asked was not to disconnect the call. I asked him what the matter was and what he told me was shocking enough to put my mind to suspicion. Some people had been trying to take over his house through illegal means and when he refused they started threatening him and his family. A few days before a few goons raided his house in the middle of the night and caused chaos and threatened them at gunpoint. Scared for his family, they were forced to leave the house in the middle of the night. He then told me that it was the politician currently in power who was behind all this."
"There had already been some rumors going on related to the politician and his corruption, but they were always shunned and counter news was always printed the next day of such alleged rumor. But then he told me that he had been asking for help from many newspapers and even the police, but no one helped and that he had been calling here for the fifth time this week and every time his call was disconnected as soon as the person on the phone heard his voice. He was asking for help, for himself and his family and so I took it into my hands to provide him justice. I noted down every single detail and promised to help him."
"As soon as the owner came back, I told him everything and asked him to print this news in our paper. Staying true to his nature, he said that these kinds of men only wanted attention and there was no legitimacy to the things he was saying. Of course, we didn't have any proof, but if he ever so gave a green signal, I was ready to bring any kind of evidence that would have been helpful. But he dismissed me saying that I was just a rookie and that I shouldn't try to do more than what I am capable of."
She stopped to take a breath, but never raised her head. "So I did what I was capable of. I posted the story on my personal blog post, hinting at the person behind this. The next day not only the article was deleted but my whole account was first hacked and later on deleted. At first, I didn't understand what happened and I thought it wasn't anything suspicious and so I secretively kept trying to collect evidence. I even met up with the man and his family, and somehow I got some proof and showed it to the owner. He said that he will think about it and that was a ray of hope for me. I waited for the next day to see the news in the newspaper. But.." she stopped and after a few seconds of silence she asked without looking up,
