"Taking pains to remove the pains of others is the true essence of generosity." – Abu Bakr (R.A)

The one word that could describe Nargis right now was.. flabbergasted.
Did she hear right? Were her ears working fine?
She patted her ears to make sure of their functioning, as she saw him leaving.
"Lets go. I don't want these jalebis to go cold. My dad will eat my head off otherwise" he called back and resumed his walk. She frowned and matched his pace.
"What did you just say?" she just wanted to confirm if what she heard was right.
"Just what you heard" he said not sparing her a glance.
"Are you mad Zeeshan? Why will I go to your home? And are you even listening to yourself?" she almost yelled, but it was like her words were falling on deaf ears.
"Fine. Why am I even following you? Its not like I cant walk away." she sneered and turned around to walk away. A few steps away and she was stopped with a grip on her forearm. Gritting her teeth she turned to her side, only to see a somewhat angry Zeeshan, trying to get his emotions in control.
"You are coming with me Nargis" and he started walking, taking her along with him. She tried to free her arm from his grip, but to no avail. For a second, her heart sank, thinking about the worst, that maybe he is one of them, but only the next second she threw that horrible thought away and shouted at him,
"Zeeshan.." jerking her hand away from his grip at the same time.
"Don't touch me" her voice almost cracked. Why is he doing this?
"I am so-" he stopped. Now is not the time to apologize and let his guard down. He could see it on her face that she was totally against the idea which he had proposed and if not her going to his home, then he knew she had no proper place either. He had no idea what he was going to do or tell his family, all he knew that he wanted her safe, at any cost.
"I am not going with you. And why the hell are you so hell bent on taking me to your home, haan. Are you sure you are not taking me to them. Else why would you force me" she had to say this, to stop him from pursuing her. She saw a myriad of emotions going through his face, but stood her guard and stared into his eyes.
He walked closer with a sneer on his face making her take a step back instinctively.
"You know what Nargis, I am done explaining to you.." he said in a dead low tone. On one had she was scared of his demeanor, while on the other hand she relaxed inwardly, relieved he would now let her go her own way and would be away from the probable danger he was taking home.
"And anything you say, wont change my mind either. So if you don't want that I carry you, you should just walk by my side" he almost threatened sending a chill down her spine. She was not liking this Zeeshan.
"You have no right over my life, Mr. Zeeshan Dyab" she threw her last weapon, hoping, praying that he drops his stubbornness. He scoffed.
"That's all you got Nargis," he tsked crossing his arms over his chest and looked away, "I know that I have no right over your life, and.. I also know that you didn't mean any of the things you said. So stop being stubborn, because its for your own good." He said seriously raising his index finger.
"Why are you doing this Zeeshan? Why do you even care?" she bellowed, exhausted from all the argument, as a lone tear escaped her eye. They both looked away, one trying to hide it, the other not being able to bear it.
