"Before we invite our bride and mother to enter the hall, I would love to invite the ladies who are carrying the gift trays. You may enter now," the emcee said.
Six women enter the hall with two gift trays in their hands with Adelia walking at the front. Surprisingly, she wore a head scarf. Thin fabric. The same with the sisters of Tengku Hassanal. All of them wore thin fabric over their head.
The gift trays were then placed on the side of the stage. Just on the right side of the bridal couch that is on the stage. After that, the emcee invited Sunny to enter.
"Ladies and gentlemen, our bride, Alyana Merideth James," the emcee announced.
Sunny enters the hall together with her mother-in-law, Tengku Hassanal's mother. Everyone was stunned by her beauty. What was more surprising for Tengku Hassanal, Sunny was wearing a full headscarf.
It was his first time seeing Sunny wearing a full headscarf. Before this, yes. She wore a headscarf but just to cover her head and not fully. But today was a surprise to him.
Sunny and her mother-in-law went onto the stage and sat on the bridal couch.

After that, the Islamic preacher started the Akad nikah with prayers. Sunny kept quiet all the while. During the short sermon, she stays quiet. She hasn't looked to look at Tengku Hassanal. She was too nervous to do so.
"We will continue with the vow," said the Islamic preacher after the sermon was done and the marriage contract had already been signed by Tengku Hassanal and Sunny.
An uncle of Sunny, who is a Muslim was Sunny's wali.
Wali is an Arabic word meaning guardian, custodian, protector, or helper. In English, it most often means a Muslim saint or holy person.
Wali is also a person who is responsible towards the woman he will be let go of. It's like, he's responsible for taking care of Sunny since he's the brother of Sunny's father.
Sunny's brother can be a waliIF, he is a Muslim. But since he isn't and Sunny's uncle is, they had her uncle do it.
Sunny's mother-in-law took her hands, "Don't you be nervous."
Sunny chuckled and nodded. Just after the sermon, Sunny finally looked up to take a glance at Tengku Hassanal. He was smartly dressed in a white baju Melayu.
"Tengku? Dah sedia? (Tengku? Are you ready?)" Sunny's uncle asked.
The people at the table chuckled seeing Tengku Hassanal's expression. He definitely looked nervous but still nodded and extended his hands.
"Alright, let's start," Sunny's uncle took his hands.
"Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah," Sunny's uncle said his name out loud into the microphone as they hold hands.
"Yes, me."
"Aku nikahkan kau dengan Alyana Merideth James yang berwakil walikan aku, dengan emas kahwinnya, wang tunai, RM 200 tunai."
(I marry you to Alyana Merideth James who represents me, with her wedding gold, cash, RM 200 cash.)
"Aku terima nikahnya Alyana Merideth James dengan emas kahwinnya wang tunai RM 200."
(I accept the marriage of Alyana Merideth James with her wedding gold and RM 200 cash.)
Sunny looked at the witnesses and the Islamic official who nodded in satisfaction.
"Sah. (Valid)."
"Alhamdulilah."

After the vow was said, Tengku Hassanal excused himself to go to the prayer room to do his prayers. It is called, Solat Sunat Dua Rakaat. It's a prayer of thankfulness.
Sunny at the meantime was very relieved. Finally, they are husband and wife. After a long time. They spend time learning about each other for around 3 years before taking this huge step.
Tengku Hassanal returned to the hall with his brothers and father. He went straight to the stage with an undeniably, wide smile. Everyone was teasing him for his wide smile. He looked very happy when he looked at Sunny.
"Are you being serious right now? You're literally blushing!" Tengku Hassanal's mother said as she stood up to let him sit beside Sunny.
The siblings were the ones who teased him the most.
"How are you?" Tengku Hassanal asked Sunny when he sat next to her.
"Eh! Why are you asking how is she?" Tengku Hassanal's mother asked in shock when hearing him.
"What do you want me to ask her? I'm so nervous I can't think of anything!" Tengku Hassanal exclaimed, making everyone burst into laughter. Especially their siblings.
"Alright, you two. It's time to put on your rings," Tengku Hassanal's mother said.
The ring was brought and Tengku Hassanal put the ring on Sunny's finger first before Sunny shook his hand and kissed it while getting teased by their siblings.
Perks being married to a man who has a lot of sisters who are all friendly and cool, there is always laughter around. And it's a situation that Sunny can't hold her laughter. It's just a lot of love and laughter there.
Sunny put the ring on Tengku Hassanal's finger and he kissed her forehead. It was just a quick kiss on her forehead before kissing her left cheek, hiding it from the camera.
He even got to whisper to Sunny something that made her grin widely.
"Alhamdulilah, we are glad and honoured to announce that Tengku Hassanal and Alyana Merideth James, you are husband and wife. Congratulations," the emcee said.
The hall was then filled with a lot of cheers and applause.
Both Sunny and Tengku Hassanal looked at each other and smiled.
