The thorns turned into cards and fell to the ground. You stopped running, wondering how that happened. Riddle groaned in anger. "What just—" He muttered. He doesn't understand how the thorns quickly turned.
"Huh?" Ace said in confusion. "I'm still alive? What's with all these playing cards?" He grabbed an ace of hearts card and held it.
"All the rose tree turned into cards?" Deuce said.
"And quickly." You said.
"Riddle, stop this right now!" Trey said.
"Wait, is that Trey's 'Paint the Roses'?!" Cater said. "But... how?!"
"All the magic sealing collars are gone!" Grim said. You looked around and saw that everyone had had a collar, didn't have one anymore.
"What did I tell you?" Trey asked. "My magic can overwrite characteristics for a short time. So I used it to make 'Riddle's magic' into 'my magic.'"
"You can do that?" You asked, stunned by what just happened. You had seen abilities to cancel out another ability but not change it into your own. You didn't have the word to describe how incredible it is. That skill can useful for both a mage and hero.
"That's some kinda loophole!" Cater said.
"N-No." Riddle said. "Off With Their Heads! I said, Off With Their Heads!" He waved his pen, trying to cast his Signature Spell, only to get bitter results.
"Riddle stop." Trey demanded. "Can't you see how you look right now?"
The students that stayed, were standing there in utter horror as they had seen their Housewarden about to murder Ace. "He... he was really gonna do it!" A junior said.
"He is completely out of control." A freshman said.
"He's like some kinda monster!" A sophomore said.
"What?" Riddle questioned. "Was my magic overwritten by yours? Does that mean your Signature Spell is stronger than mine?!"
"Of course it doesn't." Trey said. "Riddle, take a deep breath and listen to us."
"Are you going to tell me that I'm wrong too? After all I've done to protect the rule of law?! Do you know how much I've suffered for this?!" Tears boiled in his eyes and started falling down his face as he yelled. "I-I refuse to believe this!"
"Cease immediately, Mr. Rosehearts!" Crowley ordered. "Any further attempt to use magic will leave your magestone completely tainted with blot!"
"But... I'm right!" Riddle's face became redder than it already was, if it was possible. You were starting to think his face and hair would soon match. "I'm the one who's right! There is NO! POSSIBLE! ALTERNATIVE!" The tears turned black as they continued to fall.
"Riddle stop!" Trey shouted.
It was far too late. A black, ink like sludge oozed from the ground and covered his lower half, with the black tears starting to cover his upper half. Everyone watched in horror as the ink had consumed him, and started to morph him into something incredibly dangerous. The ink had started to fall from his body, showing the new form. He now donned a black and red, tattered dress, with the red on the right and black on the left. A heart was on the chest, in the same colors facing opposite from each other. The belt was covered with white flowers stained with black paint. He had black pants, and knee high, heeled black boots with some red on the hearts of the shoe. His cape had melted into the dress, making it have a long, tattered right half. Tendrils of playing cards were stuck to his belt.
