They went to see the first potential target on Cater's list. They went to the Hall of Mirrors and walked through the one labeled Pomifore. You soon stood in front a majestic castle, with cream stone walls and violet roofs with some towers littering around the room. Outside of the castle, stood an iron fence with gold apple emblems on the metal. You followed the rest through the dorm, to the lounge, which may as well looked like a throne room to you.
"Let's start here, at Pomifore." Cater said. "There's a junior named Rook Hunt who's caught my eye. He has a blonde bob cut and a fedora, you can't miss him."
"Rook is an exceptional player." Riddle said. "He performed extremely well in last year's tournament, but he is a bit of an... odd duck one might say."
"Oh, is that him sitting over there?" Deuce asked. You looked at where he was pointing and saw the blonde sitting with two other boys. You recognized Rook and the purple haired boy as the boys Deuce and Grim thought were girls. You recognized the other one from the ceremony the first night you arrived, arguing with another boy.
"Whoa." Ace said. "That dude's like, a glitter bomb in human form. He's basically sparkling."
You nodded, thinking he and Ayoma might get along. When you heard Rook talk, you wondered if you were watching another version of your old classmate. "He has more glitz than someone I know." You said.
"Non, Epel, non." Rook said. "When you lift your teacup, do not insert your finger through the handle. It is most inélégant."
"Oh... right." Epel said, fixing his finger placement on his teacup. "I'm sorry."
Vil sighed. "I just cannot decide how I want to do my makeup on tournament day!" He said. "I'm thinking maybe that new foundation from Felicity Cosmetics?"
"Oh ho ho!" Rook said. "Mon belle Vil, the Roi du Poison. Surely your beauté is not so faint that you need makeup to shine?"
"Of course I don't, but I don't dare miss an opportunity to accentuate it further!"
"I admire that passion. Magnifique! Très magnifique!"
"Uhhhh, and you're sayin' this guy is some kinda incredible athlete?" Grim asked, not buying that the guy has the skills. "Somehow I doubt he's gonna be the target."
"Yeah, I think he's in the clear." You said. Something about him felt... off. You couldn't explain it but it felt like a prey in a hunter's presence. It made you uneasy about being around him, though he does also seem harmless.
"Yeaaah, maybe we should peace out and move on." Cater said. They left the Pomifore dorm, and went to the courtyard of the school.
"So who's next on the list?"
"Next on Cay-Cay's big list of potential targets are Jade Leech and his twin brother Floyd. They're both sophomores at Octavinelle House. Word is, they work so well together on the field that other teams don't know how to counter them." It wasn't long before the group came across the twins.
"Whoa!" Grim said. "They have like, the exact same face!" He wasn't wrong about that statement. Both twins had a yellow and grey eye, short turquoise hair, with a long black strand, and an earring with a few scales on them. Where one twin had a feature on one side, the other had it in the opposite. However, despite the same appearance they were completely different. One twin wore his uniform in a pristine manner and kept his hair neatly combed while the other twin looked like he just rolled out of bed and got dressed in the dark.
"Is it just me, or do they make all the other students look tiny in comparison?" Ace asked. "They're giants!"
"They may be taller than the class president back in U.A." You said. "It would make a great advantage for them on the field."
