Y/N's POV

The next morning I am woken up by the alarm that I had set the night before, to prevent me from sleeping in way too late. I need to figure out a way to break it to my adoptive parents that I know that I am in fact not their real daughter. Wow, I can't believe that I am already talking about them in that way, they raised me. I quickly get ready, yawning when I enter the kitchen, still affected by some jet lag. I see Cosmo sitting at the table while Scarlett is feeding him, it seems that she hasn't noticed me coming in yet. I decide to scare her, I somehow manage to keep Rose quiet, who had already spotted me. It is as if that little girl always seems to know when I am there. I sneak up to Scarlett and put my hand on her shoulder while blowing past her ear. She jumps up, dropping the spoon filled with baby food on the floor.

"God, Y/N don't do that. Now look what you made me do." Scared she will actually hit me I quickly run to the kitchen maniacally laughing.

"Sorry, not sorry," I scream from the kitchen, getting something to clean up the baby food that has splattered all over the floor. "I know that you love me," I say, walking back into the dining room and starting to clean up the mess that is entirely my fault.

"Well, I am not so sure I like you now." She says, running up to me to tickle me. Before we know it we are rolling over the ground playfighting like two little kids. When all of a sudden Colin walks, seeing two grown women rolling over the ground and two little kids laughing at the display.

"What is going on here." the confused man says.

Scarlett and I jump up from the ground. I put out my hand proposing a truce, which she happily shakes. Then she turns to Colin and puts on a pouty face.

"Y/N here decided it was a good idea to scare me. So I had to get her back. It is way harder to do that when the kid is not one-third of your height." She says, walking to her husband and putting a hand around his waist. I get a quick breakfast and eat while having my ear, once again, talked of by my little sister. About an hour later Scarlett's mom comes and picks up the kids, so they can spend the day with her.

"Rose go get your backpack and put on your shoes, me and your grandma have something to talk about." She instructs Rose, who diligently does what she is being told. Scarlett walks to the hallway to greet her mom. Meanwhile, I am trying to find something in the kitchen.

"Mom, where do you keep your scissors? I need them to snip this annoying thread of my sweater." I say not thinking about what I just said.

"Mom? That doesn't sound like Rose." I hear her mom say as she walks into the kitchen. Shocked to see someone else there. Scarlett runs in just seconds after her, also in shock.

"Well, uhm meet your other granddaughter. You know from 18 years ago." She said, slightly scared of what her mom will say about it.

"Hi, I'm Y/N," I say, sticking out my hand to greet her. Disappointed at myself for so carelessly calling Scarlett that, but also surprised. I have known her now for what two days and I am already going about calling her my mom. Instead of shaking my hand, she walks up to me to give me a hug, tears slowly starting to form in her eyes.

"Am I dreaming, are you really here? Wow, you have really grown up." She says, cupping my face in her hands and taking it all in.

"Yes, I am very real. It is great to meet you. The one that put this amazing woman on earth." I joke slightly. Uncomfortable at the emotional display of the woman that is my biological grandmother, but who I have known for thirty seconds.

"Well, it's great to meet you too. We'll have to get to......." She is cut off as Rose comes running back into the kitchen. Clearly, done with having to wait. "Grandma, can we go now. I want to go see the animals." She squeals. Dragging her grandma out of the kitchen after giving both me and Scarlett a quick hug.
