Y/N's POV

I've been sick for the past week. And let me tell you it was horrible. I feel like it couldn't get worse than it was on that first day and man was I wrong. That cough I had got so bad that I threw up a few times just because my whole body was so distraught trying to even breathe. I had a raging fever for the next two days after and I think I slept for most of them if I wasn't absolutely coughing my lungs up.

But now, after a week, I feel good enough to go do something outside the house. Most of the other days I have just been in either bed or the couch with Florence and hogging her from the rest of the family. But it didn't seem like she minded it. I think we both would have loved to do something more but given the circumstances, I think it was great because we just got to spend a lot of time cuddled up together.

"Honey, are you sure you want to go out today?" Mom asks in good old mom fashion.

"Yes, I have been fever-free for like three days now and the only thing I have left is a sore throat and a small cough. I'll be fine." I assure her. I get why she is worried, I was worried for a second there as well. I don't think I have been this sick in years and it definitely took a lot out of me. We are just going out for a few hours today and get some lunch somewhere and maybe a small walk. I don't think I'm fully up for a lot, but I need a small date with Flo before she goes back tomorrow.

"Okay, if you are sure. Your keys are by the door on the hook where I know you always keep them." She tells me. Colin had to pick up my car because it was left at the gym.

"Thanks, Mom. A few hours, we'll not be gone longer. But I'll be fine and if not we'll come back." I give her a quick kiss on the cheek before I join Flo at the front door to put on my shoes.

I'm feeling a bit nervous, I want to also talk to Flo about the moving-in thing. Like Colin said if I don't ask I won't know and this is the last day she will be here before it will be a little bit before I can see her again.

We make our way down to my car and I open the door for her. Chivalry isn't dead yet, and Florence deserves to be treated like the passenger princess that she is. She giggles at my actions and connects her phone to the aux immediately so she can play her music. And to be honest, I don't care her music taste is amazing and I've noticed myself listening to the same music many times even when she is not around.

"I'm sorry we couldn't do something like this earlier in the week," I tell her keeping my eyes on the road. My hand securely on her thigh.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I don't believe you made yourself sick. It's honestly no problem, I liked that we could just cuddle up together." She shuts me down.

We continue the drive singing along to the music. Whenever I am alone in the car you can bet your ass that I am belting along to whatever song that is playing. But usually, when I am with someone who isn't equally as loud I keep it to just lowly singing along to the music.

I park the car at mom's penthouse in the city, yes she has an apartment in the city. It is actually where we had lunch on that first day that I met her. We lived there for a little bit because renovations were going on at the house. But I like the house much better because it isn't smack dab in the city centre. But it is secured parking and I would rather leave my car here than have to find parking in the city. And the lunch spot I made reservations at is close by.

"It's a 10-minute walk from here. Are you okay with that?" I say taking the keys out of the ignition after parking in the reserved spots for Mom's apartment.

"Yeah that is okay," she says, going through her bag to presumably take out her sunglasses. It isn't particularly sunny weather, but we both know better than to go out on the streets without a pair or something covering our faces. Because I do the same thing, it may not be the best disguise but it will work somewhat.
