Scarlett's POV

I was busy cooking for the kids and making sure that they had something to eat before I went off to go do my own things when I all of a sudden get a call from Taika. This is weird since he usually doesn't call me or text me out of the blue. I know he did when Y/N wasn't doing so great, but I haven't heard from him in weeks now that she was doing better.

"Hey Taika, what's going on?"

"Has Y/N called or talked to you?"

"No, why do you ask?"

"She had an accident on set and I believe she is going to the hospital right now. I kind of benched her today from filming. Call her and talk to her."

"Yeah, I'll do that thanks Taika."

And that was the end of our very short conversation. What in the world has she done now? The last time I talked to her she was fine. Okay, Scarlett pace yourself, she is doing a movie with a lot of action and stunts she probably had a tumble and Taika just wanted to be sure that she is okay before she goes to film again.

I call her again not thinking about the place she is in and screaming through her phone immediately getting back that I should not have done that. She tells me all is well, it is probably just a sprained ankle. And we hang up again, but before that, I make sure she keeps me updated and if she needs me that I can come out there. I would have to get someone to look after the kids since Rose has school, Cosmo still needs supervision and Colin is very busy with this week's SNL episode as it is the last of the season.

A few hours later she messages that she is at Pedro's house and that she will call in the morning. From what I am guessing is that he is one of her co-stars so it is nice of him to let her stay at his place. It is probably a good idea since it forces her to take his help and not just try and do all of it by herself. I still don't know fully what is wrong but she will tell me in the morning.

At 7 AM I get a call from her while I try to get some breakfast ready for my other daughter that needs to be getting up soon for school. 7 AM means that it is 5 for her.

"Hey Y/N, did you sleep okay? it is awfully early for you to be calling."

"Yeah, I kind of did. But I woke up with some pain and I was uncomfortable so I couldn't get back to sleep. I'm sorry for not calling yesterday but I was so tired that I kind of forgot. Hold up, Mom. Yes, I want eggs, thanks, Pedro. Sorry about that." She says as I hear her say something to the other person in the house.

"He is up early. It is nice of him to let you stay at his. Is he one of your co-stars? Also what is wrong?"

"Yes, that is Pedro Pascal, he is my co-star. Well you know what happened yesterday and I thought that I had only sprained it, but it isn't. I cracked the end of my fibula and I am now in a boot for the next 6 weeks."

"Oh no, are you sure you don't need me there? Why did they even let you do it?" I ask her.

"No no, mom don't come here I'll be fine. It is a comic con in two days so I'll be fine. I'll just be on crutches that's all. I told them I could do the stunt and we had rehearsed it the day before. But the wall was just higher and just I lost my balance. It was just an unexpected accident. It probably didn't help me that I kept walking and running on it to continue the scene." She tells me.

"You continued the scene?"

"Yep, I thought I had sprained it or just rolled it and could walk it off. But clearly, I wasn't fine, it was the best take though."

"Okay, take your rest okay. and please let me know if you need something okay." I tell her.

"Mama is that Y/N?" Rose asks me walking into the kitchen with her school clothes on.
