A new life

Scarlett's POV

These last two weeks of filming are really intense, a lot has to be done with little time left. Y/N and I barely see each other. By the time either of us finishes work the other one is already in bed or still working. In the mornings Y/N is usually gone before I wake up. She had gotten more and more little jobs around the set, she absolutely adores it but it makes her busier than she should be.

Today is the last day of filming, everyone is exhausted but there is still a lot of spirit. I think because everyone knows that we will be finished in a little while.

I get ready as I have done every day before this and move to the shooting location, seeing Y/N finish up the last of the spacing and placing a few tapes on the ground. Along with the job she had she now sometimes is a gaffer as well. There is always one present, but with new ideas, she puts the tapes down for them, it is just more efficient. I heard Greg talking about how her name will now be credited in three different places in the credits.

The whole day is spent shooting these scenes and I am grateful for the twenty minutes break I get during the afternoon.

"Cut, that is a wrap, you guys," Greg shouts over the set. Making all of us erupt in applause. I get handed a microphone after he has his little closing-out speech.

"Okay, so that is it for now. I have loved this job so much. I am really grateful for everyone working on this project and proud as well. Thank you for being so amazing and talented. I love you guys and I am proud of you." I finish my little speech before handing the microphone to the next person.

We close out the night with a little party I had provided for everyone that was involved with the project. I had rented out this bar in town and everyone seems to be having fun. Finally getting to let go of all the stress that is accompanied by working on such a big project.

I see Y/N talking to the casting director, which is a little bit weird when I see her handing Y/N something. But I quickly forget about it, they were probably just getting to know each other.

Y/N's POV

Today we wrap this film and don't get me wrong I love working on this project, but these last two weeks were very intense and took every ounce of energy out of me.

Florence and I have been keeping up together and texting each other every day. We have grown quite close and it has been really fun. We have made some plans to meet up in Atlanta when they start filming the new Marvel movie. But first I am going to see the family in New York since I haven't seen them in real life in a while.

At the party that my mom had organized, I see the casting director come up to me.

"Hey, Y/N right? Greg gave me your information and I think I might have a project that I am casting that you might be a fit for." She says.

"Oh really, I do hope he told you I have no experience whatsoever." I say, sceptical of the offer.

"Yes, he did but from what he told me I think you might be perfect for it actually. Here is a little snippet of the role and what I need from you if you decide to do it. According to Greg,  you are awesome to work with and direct, so I think they can get around the inexperience. This doesn't mean you have the role though so I advise you to put in all the effort though. You still need to show you can act." She says, giving me a folder that is filled with sheets of paper.

"UH, yeah thank you. I'll do that. Thank you for thinking of me. It was great meeting you." I say as she walks away.

Did I really just sort of get offered a role? I know that I don't have it yet, but I still got offered it. I guess working this backstage job is getting me connections and positive recommendations. This calls for celebration and I walk up to Jeff and the rest of the younger crew that I had become friends with.
