Y/N's POV (beginning of May)

To say I am excited to finally meet some of my co-stars soon is an understatement. I am excited to start working as well. The lead-up to this has been so long and the day is finally here that I leave to start the stunt training at the studios. It will be different than it has been the past few weeks. I won't be able to see my girlfriend for a long time, because we will both be busy working and I won't have the time to see my family all the time. But it will all be worth it in the end since I can do what I love and I don't want to let this chance go. I have worked way too hard for this to let it slide.

Florence was also clearly affected by me having to leave, but I assured her I would call her every night after filming. I had promised the same to mom and the rest of the family I would be calling at least once a week. Mom and Colin had also given me the keys to the house they have there, it is cheaper for us and for the production team since they don't have to get me housing there. There would also be a car there waiting for me, I am so happy I got my driver's license and I can now just drive myself anywhere I want.

Today was the day I was leaving, I have a busy schedule and I need to get there a few days before all the work starts so I can give myself some time to settle in. They also needed to go over the last things for my costumes and I would be having a fitting tomorrow.

"Darling, are you sure that you will be fine on your own?" Scarlett asks.

"Yes, I will be fine. I am old enough to be by myself. Don't forget I used to live on my own in a whole different country." I assure.

"I will miss you so much and I will come to visit you as soon as I can, okay," she says before giving me one last hug and leaving me to go catch my flight.

"Okay mom, honestly don't worry about me. I'll miss you too." I say waving her goodbye before going to security. Just before I turn around I can see her wipe, what looks to be tears from her face.

The flight isn't that long and before I know it I arrive in sunny LA. I take an uber to the house and I start off by unpacking all my stuff and giving everything its own place.

After that is done I take the car to the grocery store, hat and sunglasses covering my face as I enter the supermarket. Mom had warned me that the paparazzi will be worse in LA, especially in this part since this is where most famous people have their houses and go shopping.

Luckily I get through my shop uninterrupted and I get everything I need. I get myself some stuff to cook and also some simple containers so that I can keep leftovers since I couldn't find any in the house. One thing I learned from living on my own is to always keep leftovers and to cook more than one portion, So you can just heat it up when you've had a busy day and don't want to cook.

After unpacking all the food and placing the stuff in the fridge that needs to be kept cold I decide that I am going to the beach. When I was younger I would never really go to the beach, mostly because we didn't live close to it and second because my parents didn't like it. They were mountain people and when we went on vacation that is where we would be spending our time. I have been dragged on countless, beautiful hikes that would last all day. Did I sometimes not like it when they did? absolutely, but I would usually still enjoy it halfway through the hike.

I put on a simple black bathing suit and cover myself with some shorts and a shirt for my way there. I don't forget to slather myself in sunscreen. I have sadly always had to do that because I will turn as red as a lobster in 15 minutes if I don't. Tanning has never really been in the cards for me, when I got older though it got a little easier, but I still have to be very careful when I go out in the sun.

I take the car to the same beach spot where I had been before and find a small secluded spot from the busy part. I am not really looking forward to being recognised that much today. I just want a day at the beach for myself with my book.
