A new life

Y/N's POV

The rest of the weekend was pretty quiet. Florence and I didn't do much except for enjoying each other's company. But having spent the weekend together made it all the harder when we had to say goodbye to each other on Monday.

This weekend was the best yet, but when the time came to drive my girlfriend to the airport and say goodbye to her for at least the next months, I didn't want to leave her anymore.

But you know, stuff has to get done and things like this sadly happen. We are both busy and need to do our jobs. We both respect that, the fact that we are working and things need to be done. And we will both briefly see each other at the comic con that is coming up in a few weeks.

"I'll miss you, text me when you get there," I tell her before kissing her goodbye and she walks off to security.

"Will do, I love you and I'll miss you too." She sweetly replies.

This is it, our time apart really starting now. I don't know why I am acting like this is the end of the world or as if we are breaking up together because it isn't. I just love spending time with her, even though I have my doubts here and there she makes me feel like I belong like there is nothing else in this world that can stop us.

It took me a long time to feel that way, starting when I first met Scarlett, when she took me into her home and I gained a new family. And me feeling complete when Florence and I finally got the guts to tell each other what we feel.

But now both those parts are far away and it hurts just a little. I have always been fine on my own but since this all happened I feel like I can't be anymore, always feeling like there is something missing. 

Okay Y/N, hold yourself together, don't burst out in tears in the middle of the airport, at least wait until you are back in your car. I tell myself, not wanting to embarrass myself in front of all these people that might know who I am.

I have the 30-minute drive to set to get myself not to be an emotional wreck, I will finally be meeting the rest of the cast today. That and the music that is playing cheers me up again.

I park the car and sign myself in, on the way to my trailer saying hi and waving to the crew that is busy around the set. I drop off my stuff and quickly put on some workout gear since we will still be doing fight training. Walking to the place I was told to go to just now by an assistant I make sure my hair is out of my face.

I open the door and before it is fully opened I see standing there first of all Taika, of course, it wouldn't be a cast meeting without our lovely director.

"Ah, there she is. Everyone meet your co-star and lead Y/N Johansson-Jost." He says and I awkwardly wave. I don't yet look around to see who else is there as I quickly put my stuff down.

"Y/N meet Pedro Pascal and Xochitl Gomez. The rest will be here later this week." He continues. Holy shit, I knew that there was a chance I'd be working with big actors but I didn't think I'd be working with them. I love them, Pedro was amazing in the Last of Us and Xochitl is America in the MCU and if you didn't know it yet, I am obsessed with those movies. I love both of their work and I am so stoked to be working with them.

Little fangirl moment though and I remember that I need to chill out a little bit.

"Hi, it is great to meet you guys. I love both of your works a lot."

"The same, I am excited to see what you can do," Pedro says, sticking out his hand which I gladly shake.

"Oh hey, I have seen you on TikTok, great to meet you. And like Pedro, I am excited to get started." She smiles and instead of a handshake, she goes in for the more untraditional hug.
