Scarlett's POV

Tonight has been one of the most fun in a while. Two of my close friends made their way here just so they could visit me. I had expected Y/N to completely freak out about the two, but she managed to compose herself quite well.

Something was up though, but I couldn't really put my finger on it. She seemed more carefree than normal. I quickly put it to the back of my mind, she must just be a little less stressed. Since she started working she had become a little different. But tonight she was back to her old self and maybe even a little better.

Florence had left me and Lizzie to go see if Y/N needed any help and from her staying in the kitchen I could gather that the two get along.

During dinner, I got surprised by a lot of things that even I didn't know about Y/N. we had talked a lot but some stuff was new, even for me. I didn't know she had been working since she was 15, it was after school but still.

But eventually, the truth came out about her change in behaviour that night. I was under the impression that she had only had one glass of wine with dinner, but the fact is, she had done shots beforehand. This is a side I had not yet seen of her. I know that she drinks but not in that way. But what can I do about it, she is an adult. She will receive some sort of punishment though.

After the desserts were brought out by her, we talked about Elizabeth's book that she had written with her husband. I never got it for Rose but hearing Y/N talk about it I should have gotten one. I also did not expect Y/N to get so much help from the children's book.

"Y/N let me clean up for you. You cooked after all." I offer, not really taking no for an answer, but she declines my offer. She got quite good at that, it is like she understands my stubborn side better than I do sometimes.

She does however take the help offered by Lizzie and Flo.

We all end up on the couch, sipping on some more wine and just talking some more. We all let Y/N have a little more fangirling time, just to let her get all of it out of her system. I swear to god this girl knows probably way too much about us, even before she met us and she has seen most of our projects which is an accomplishment on its own. I admire her love for our work, as I said before, it is not only us she likes but also our talents. Something we all need a little bit more of in our fanbases.

"Y/N why don't you choose the movie," Florence says, which is a big mistake as I can already see the smirk appear on Y/N's face.

"Oh no, we will not be letting her choose the movie." I intervene, snatching the remote from my daughter earning me a gasp from her.

"What why, I was just about to play Age of Ultron." She says, a big smile still on her face.

"Yeah, that is why," I argue.

"fine, you choose then." She gives in, not happy with the fact that we are not watching her favourite movie. But I want to spare me and my friend the awkwardness. I know that both I and Lizzie don't like watching our own work.

We end up watching Little women since Florence said she doesn't mind. It did make my daughter a lot happier, considering it still contains one of us.

Halfway through the movie Y/N's phone starts buzzing. She doesn't pick up the call after looking at who is calling her. This happens a few times before I start to hear her phone ding as she receives messages. When she gets called for the sixth time I am done with the interruption.

"Y/N I don't know who is calling you, but can you just pick up the phone please," I say annoyed.

"Sorry." She says before walking out and picking up the phone. I can just about hear her say an irritated greeting to whoever is calling her.
