It's been hours since your last encounter with Luke, and you've accomplished nothing but sulk in your room. Why the hell does Luke do this? If it's jealousy, he's taking it to a whole new level. You reach for your phone to check the time.
"Shit. It's already 7." You say out loud to yourself. You've been sitting in your now dry, running clothes. It's probably not the best idea, but you send Luke a text. You know he'll put the blame on you, but if it means you'll be on good terms again, you're willing to do it. It's almost as if Luke knew you were thinking about him because he sent you a text just as you opened your phone.
"Y/n, I'm sorry. I know I've been getting out of hand, I don't want to argue anymore. I hate causing problems, especially with you. If all you want is to be my friend for now, then that's fine. I respect your choices." Of course, he has to put 'for now'. You decide to just let it slide and write him back. You sit up from your bed leaning your elbows on your knees, typing.
"What you said sucked. Hearing you call me a whore, doesn't exactly scream 'best friend'. You need to push your emotions to the side, you can make some pretty bad choices and you can get dishonorably discharged. I'd hate to see that happen ):" You inhale a deep breath waiting for his response. Instead, there's a knock on your door. You place your phone in your pocket and head to the door. While opening the door, you notice the shoes of the person standing outside. Luke is holding a small orange flower. You look up at him.
"Please forgive me." He says looking into your eyes. You grab a hold of the flower and feel tears starting to build up.
"I forgive you." You respond while nodding. He leans in for a hug, and you hug him back. He's always given the best hugs, you adored how his strong arms felt around your waist. He felt like home. You inhale his scent, he's always smelt like burning wood mixed with his cologne. You let go of him, and he does the same. You turn your head to the right to see Ghost staring directly at you. He's as still as a board and his fists are clenched. Luke also looks over to see him. Ghost says nothing while walking past you, never breaking the eye contact between the two of you. You wait until his big frame disappears down the hall.
"He's an odd one," I say looking at Luke. Luke nods while exhaling.
"Never did like me." He says. I decide to not pry, remembering what Ghost, Simon, had said earlier. "You hungry?" Luke asks wanting to change the subject.
"Starving actually." I give him a warm smile as I look down at the flower. "I'll meet you in the kitchen, I'm going to set this in my bathroom." I look back up at him.
"Sounds good y/n. I'll see you in a bit." You turn back into your room leaving the door open. You had no clue what to do with a flower, you've never been given one. You place it on your bathroom counter and decide to just leave it. You look in the mirror at yourself. You've got sweat stains from your run earlier and you figured it's time to change. You quickly turn the shower on and look for a towel. I quickly walk to my dresser looking for one. Success. I rummage through my bag looking for a pair of clothes until I hear my phone go off. I set my clothes on my bed and grab my phone.
"Better hurry or I might eat without you" I run to the bathroom and quickly undress, throwing my towel and phone on the counter. The water was warm, and I was sad I couldn't enjoy it for long. After I had washed myself, I grab for my towel. The cold air hits me and sends shivers throughout my body. I look around for my clothes, realizing I had left them on my bed. I wrap the towel around me tightly and scurry into my bedroom.
"Where the fuck are my clothes?" I can't find my bag or the clothes I had placed on my bed. "God damn it! Fuck!" I bet one of the guys took them. I walk towards my door and poke my head out. The hallway was filled with the sound of laughter from the tv room. What the fuck am I supposed to do? Walk out in my towel? I look at my room trying to see if I could spot them before leaving to search for them. With no luck, I collect myself and start walking towards the kitchen. I take one final breath before walking through the door frame. Immediately, the guys stop talking and stare at you, their eyes wide. You catch a glimpse of Ghost's gaze and quickly look away.
