Today is the day, our mission begins. I'm a bit anxious because we've only gotten a couple of leads on Hannish, but nothing has come about them. As I braid my hair, I run the mission through my mind. Once we've landed, we need to split up and get to our positions. I need to find a spot where I won't be seen in order to cover my squad. When we land it'll be dark, so a night vision scope for my sniper is necessary.

I snap out of my deep thoughts to the sound of soft knocking. As I go to the door I notice it's still pretty dark out, indicating it's early still. As I open the door, I'm met with Ghost. Over the past couple of days, nothing big has happened. He's snuck around just to see me, and gives me compliments every now and then.

"Hey." He whispers looking down to me with gentle eyes. I smile and rest my head on the door frame.

"Hi." I whisper back. I watch as he looks down the hall, making sure no one was near before he put his hands on my waist, and backs me into the bedroom. As I'm being pushed by him, he closes the door shut with his foot. He then wraps his arms around me, bringing me into his chest. I maneuver myself to be able to hear his heartbeat and wrap my arms around his waist. I loved his hugs, it's only the second one I've gotten, but I'm obsessed.

"Promise you'll be safe today?" He says as he inhales deeply, taking in my scent. I smile and squeeze him a bit tighter.

"I promise Simon."  I then feel him rub his hand up and down my back, as if he's trying to comfort the both of us.

"I worry sometimes." He admits. I then pull away from his hug in order to look up at him.

"You shouldn't worry so much, especially on the field." I pause, searching for a reaction behind the mask. "I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt." He then nods as he places his hand under his mask, lifting it just above the lips, before leaning in to kiss me. His lips are chapped, but they're still warm, and soft.

We're startled  by a loud knock on the door and Simon quickly steps off to the side of the door in order to not be seen. Before I know it my door opens up, and Soap looks at me wide eyed.
"Y/n please." Soap pleads. I look at him confused.

"Soap what's going on?" I ask  worried.

"Tiolet paper, I need tiolet paper desperately!" He exclaims.

"Oh my goodness Soap! I'll be right back." I chuckle before shutting the door.

"Hurry!" I hear him whine from behind the door. I laugh as I look at Simon who rolls his eyes, and I head to my bathroom and grab a fresh roll. As I'm walking to the door I hear Soap whining. I then open the door and he quickly takes it and jogs toward the bathroom. I shake my head and close the door once more.

"Hopefully he makes it." I giggle at Simon.

"God I hope so." Simon replies back looking at the door. He lets out a sigh and walks toward me, holding his arms out.

"I should've come by sooner." He says with his arms once again, wrapped around me.

"Why's that?" I ask smirking.

"You look  bloody wonderful in your uniform." He says in a raspy voice. I smirk and look up at him.

"I mean, we have a little time to kill." I say seductively. He sighs and shakes his head.

"No. We need to get ready and run through the plan as a team." He states as he lets me go and reaches for the door handle. I cross my arms over my body and pout as he looks back at me.

"Good things come to those who wait." He says before opening the door to exist. I knew Simon was big into his job, but we did have time to spare. I shrug it off, and wait a couple seconds before I leave my room, heading toward the kitchen for something to eat.
