turning point : chapter 9

I wake up suddenly from shouting, I quickly stand up and go to see what's going on. My heart is pounding, and my adrenaline is up. Just because this is our base, doesn't mean the enemies can't find us. I'm prepared for anything as I go into the hallway. As I look out I see the guys, including Price, huddled in a big circle surrounding someone. I walk over, and the closer I get, the more my nerves become on edge.

    "Get the fuck off me!" My heart sinks. It's Luke, he's slurring so badly. I see Ghost being held back by Soap, and Price is between Luke and Ghost. I stop when Alejandro spots me and shakes his head, mouthing the word 'go'.

    "There she is! My girl!" Luke says spotting me, pushing past Ghost. Ghost whips his body around as he shrugs Soap off him.

    "What is going on?" I shout at them while Luke stills make his way to me. He starts laughing.

    "These dumbasses won't let me see my girl." He reaches for me and within a second Ghost grabs his shoulder.

    "Stay the fuck away from her!" Alejandro shouts.

    "Calm down boys." Price hisses placing his hand on Ghost's arm, gesturing him to let go. Ghost complies and stands back watching Luke intently as he continues to come closer to me.

    "Get a load of these fucking pricks," Luke says pointing his thumb behind him. I slowly start to back up, I hate drunk people. I hate them. Luke finally gets to me and puts his arm around me.

    "Luke. You're drunk." I say heavily, looking at him.

    "Nahhh, I've only had a couple of drinks." He says forcefully grabbing my face and kissing me. I quickly push him off and look up to see the guys coming toward us. They're pissed.

    "I said stay the FUCK away from her!" Alejandro shouts once again. Ghost is the first to get to him, greeting him with a punch to his left cheek, causing Luke to fall on his ass.

    "Enough!" Price yells as he and Soap both tackle Ghost to the ground. I watch as Ghost rustles around releasing himself from their grip.

    "Take a walk, Simon!" Price yells. I lock my eyes on Ghost, seeing him wide-eyed looking at Price. He genuinely looked hurt as he looks back at me.

    "Keep her from him." Ghost says softly before walking away. I look back down at Luke as I hear him laugh. He has his knees up with his elbows resting on them.

    "What a fucking guy!" He says while clapping. "What a little pussy boy." He adds.

    "I'd watch what you say, Luke." Keegan chimes in. Alejandro comes to my side, examining me.

    "Did he hurt your shoulder?" He whispers to me. I shake my head.

    "No he jus-" I was quickly interrupted by Luke.

    "I didn't fucking touch her you possessive fuck." Luke says as Price yanks him up.

    "Take her to her room Alejandro, I'll take care of him." Price says out of breath. "Soap, check on Ghost. Gaz, Keegan, go somewhere other than here." He finishes.

    "I want to go with y/n," Luke says as I start walking down the hall with Alejandro. I hear their talking start to fade the closer we get to my bedroom.

    "I'm so sorry Alejandro." I say fighting back tears.

    "No no. There's no need to be sorry. No one should have to put up with this, especially here." He says pulling my body closer to his. I hadn't noticed he had placed his left arm around my waist. It was comforting in a way, something about Alejandro was so inviting and cozy. He removes his hand from my body and opens my door, allowing me to step in. I had just now realized I had slept the entire day away. He watches as I walk towards my bunk and sit myself down.
