You come back, I'll be right here

"I know my actions have been nothing but terrible and I apologize from the bottom of my heart for the pain and discomfort I may have caused your family," Alice read from the paper she held in her hand for the girl and her parents along with Larissa. "I wish for you to accept my apology and peacefully move on with our lives, leaving the past behind and focusing on this not ever happening again."

Alice definitely put on quite a show, complete with a single tear falling down her cheek and a quivering voice she looked convincing, even though she never meant a single word she said. After finishing, she turned to everyone and saw mixed reactions.

Principle Weems had the brightest smile of them all, the girl had a shit face that indicated she wanted to strangle Alice and her parents seemed to have hated Alice the most. But Alice knew how to give a show when needed.

"Thank you for your apology, Alice." Principle Weems nodded as Alice fake-sniffled and walked around to sit down next to everyone else. Weems asked the two girls to leave the office so she could talk privately with the parents.

Alice and the girl stood up from their seats and walked out, closing the door on their way. "You're going to pay for this." The girl sneered at her.

Alice turned to look at her, not containing her laughter anymore. "Girl, please, you're barely 16 and I graduate this year - I suggest you get on my level and then you talk."

"My parents are rich and will destroy your ass." The girl crossed her hands on her chest and smirked at Alice.

The situation was so laughable for Alice that she couldn't even take it seriously any longer. "Your grades are lower than the price of that cheap - ass foundation you found at a gas station. Your parents aren't even that rich and even if they were, their money would be insignificant."

The girl pulled out her claws like a werewolf and stared at Alice. "You're just a normie and I can scratch that pretty face of yours in seconds, so I suggest you shut up and abide by me."

Alice scrunched up her nose in confusion, completely not phased by that, and was about to walk away until the girl leaned in and took a step forward, stopping her from going anywhere. "Stop this game already, you look like a fucking idiot."

"Oh, yeah? Well, then let's see who will be the idiot when I claw my way into your-"

"Back off, Lucy," Another girl's voice was heard from behind Alice. "Find someone of your species first."

Alice turned around and saw a girl with short blonde hair and nails out just like the one in front of her. She began to walk closer, holding her nails out and exposed, up until Alice's side.

"This is none of your business, Enid." Lucy sighed and put away her hands.

"Don't you think you had enough drama at this school already? Give us all a break for once and spare us from your stupidity." Enid said and took Alice's hand, pulling her away from Lucy. The two walked through the hallways until they were out of sight, somewhere around the corner.

"Thanks for helping me out," Alice sighed heavily. "That was kind of you."

"No worries, I know you're that one normie of our school, and surviving here as an outcast is hard enough, but surviving as a human - that's a whole other deal," Enid told her and the two girls chuckled. "I'm Enid."
