A/N: Title!

-Kellin's POV-

"Kellin, I know you probably don't feel the same, but I'm going to risk it anyway. So I'm asking you, be that unique thing in my life. Be mine?"

"Oh my gosh, Vic, I don't even know what to say...other than, y-"

Right as I said yes to Vic, I heard a random song blast from my phone. I nearly soared out of bed, annoyed that an amazing dream ended at the worst time.

Glancing at my off-putting phone, I discovered it was 5:40 in the morning. Apparently, I had an alarm set. At first I figured it was my normal school alarm, that is, until I read the memo.

Hey Kells, I hope you didn't forget our road trip! Or what you think is one ;) First step is simple; come to my house. Your next clue awaits you in a place mail is left. -Vic.

Oh! I completely forgot about this abrupt expedition Vic requested I embark on. This first one proved simple; the next clue would be in the mailbox. Remembering the plan, I'm skipping school today. I didn't stress it too much, since it's rather simple. I'd just go about getting ready as any other day. Only today, I'd be taking a left turn from the driveway.

"Good morning, mom." I addressed her, by kissing her on the cheek.

"Morning, Kellin. How's school and friends so far?"

I grinned, "Really good ma."

She returned the smile and replied "That's delightful! I'm glad. Tell me more later, okay? Y'know mamma's got to go to work now. See you later baby!" She quickly kissed my head roughly and tormented my hair as she zipped through the door.

With the day just beginning, it's chilly; and I love it. Stepping outside and closing my eyes, I took a few deep breaths and admired the empty street. It's also foggy out. I'm assuming it's overcast from the beach. I loved the look of a white-gray sky instead of a blue one. The way the air flows so effortlessly, and its crisp touch raises goose bumps. Early morning make me feel alive again.

As I reveled in the moment, my phone vibrated in my hand. Another alarm, another memo.

If I know you well enough, you're caught up in the way the morning rises. Good morning, Kellin. But get going! -Vic.

My cheeks ached from my beaming lips. He really is something special. Even though I could linger in the morning for a few more minutes, I didn't want to keep Vic waiting. So instead, I locked my house with my key before slipping it, and my phone in my pocket. and strolling to Vic's house with zeal.

Upon arriving, I opened the mailbox to reveal a multicolored card. Assuming this is the clue, I shut the mailbox and sat on the curb to read.

Okay, that one was simple. Here's one with a little more difficulty. Head to the place we went before you learned my secret. Someone familiar will be waiting. They'll hand you your next clue. -Vic.
