A/N: Kinda feeling eh today so I decided to write a fluff chapter to lift my spirits. Also, thank you guys so much for getting this book to 1k reads and 124 votes. That's outstanding to me and I really appreciate it <3 Enjoy!
A plate being sat beside me on Vic's night stand woke me up the next morning. I sighed, blinking up at Vic who sported a hopeful expression. I smiled a bit, and whispered good morning. He returned the smile, and quickly bent down to kiss my nose.
"Good morning, and I hope this works for you, I want you to eat; but I don't want to freak you out; is this okay? I can trash it if you want me to." Vic said all in one sentence. Despite the fact I slightly hate him for making me eat, his nervousness is kind of endearing. I glanced down at the small plate: two pieces of toast with light butter spray and some orange juice. Decent.
"Babe, calm down. It's fine, thank you." I croaked out. My throat still burns from yesterday, so I was thankful he brought me something to drink.
"Okay." He said with a sigh of relief, taking his spot next to me on the bed and kissing my nose again. Gosh, I adore him.
While I took small bites of the toast, he babbled on about an article he read on E-News or something along those lines. I however, was too busy watching his expression to take note of the actual words that fell from his lips. What can I say, he's quite captivating.
"And I'm guessing you didn't hear any of that because you were too busy staring at me." He said, chuckling lightly.
I held the piece of toast I was working on up higher, hiding my face.
"Kells, stop playing with your food! You look like a three year old!" Vic exclaimed in a parent voice.
"But, I want to be three again! Babe, can you invent a time machine and make me three again please?" I whined, giggling horrendously.
"No!" He whined in response, "then I wouldn't be able to be sitting here with my adorable seventeen-year-old Kells!"
I put the toast back on the plate and moved it to the night stand again, arming myself with the pillow I formerly rested on.
"This is what you get for not making a time machine!" I yelled before slapping him over the head with the pillow.
"Ouch! Dammit Kellin, that one's memory foam!" He yelled, grabbing the other pillow and hitting me back.
Our pillow fight went on for fifteen minutes before Vic's mom came in and yelled something to Vic in Spanish. He waved her off and laughed loudly, causing Mike to wake up and see what the noise was about, too.
"Jesus fucking christ, it's too early for this shit!" He exclaimed, standing in the doorway rubbing the sleep from his eye.
"Well, go back to sleep then. In fact, I'll help you." I said, before throwing the memory foam pillow at him. That just made the fight continue.
