Hello!!!

It's great to finally be writing again, I'm so excited! Sorry if this chapter is kinda boring, but its sort of a filler on what is happening and what will happen. I changed this chapter ALOT and same with the others and I like it better this way.

I also want to say I have been getting other positive feedback from other readers about this book and I wanna say thank you to that.😘

I'm done rambling on, so please VOTE, COMMENT, AND SHARE!

The dark night was covered with swirls of grey, the mist tickling my skin. The walk down the street tired my feet, so I had stopped for a moment to slip off my shoes. Christy's party still pounded in my ears as I ambled further away.

I left the house half an hour ago, for which the party became dull to me. I lost Mia in the crowd and Camille was no where to be seen as well. Besides that, I couldn't help but think of Harry throughout the whole time I was there. He did ruin my stay there and made me feel completely restless. But, that wasn't the only thing that clouded my muse.

His words back at the party latched into my brain, bewildering me with each word. There was some hidden meaning, I just know it. But what could lie in between those words?

As I walked in the dark, foggy night, I regret leaving the party. Curfew was almost near, and I'm sure that I won't make it back home in time. But as I kept walking and walking, my thoughts drew me to a direction I had not passed through. Regrettably, I hit a dead end to a neighborhood. I gazed around to find Christy's house gone and a row of houses I didn't recognize. I almost cursed to myself, until suddenly I heard a voice prowl behind the dark night.

"Are you lost?" The unfamiliar voice had spoke. I gingerly turned around to find someone hiding in the mist, his silhouette seeping out of the fog.

"Hello? Who's out there?" I weakly say as I held onto Mia's shoes with a tight grip.

He stood silently for a moment. Gradually, he stepped out of the chilling fog with slouched shoulders. His blonde hair had mopped over his head. The brown in his eyes were dark and thick as chestnut. He was mildly built with a strong jaw and calmly placed features. He wore a brown, worn leather jacket and dark jeans. His attire matched the aroma of the night. His handsome appearance almost made me forget that he was a stranger, a stranger who was lurking in the shadows. I gulped quietly.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets. "It's getting late. The patrol cars will be able to see you."

I shift uncomfortably. "It's a risk I'm willing to take."

I tried to sound firm and confident, but the crack in my voice pushed me to another direction.

He smiled kindly. "I see you came from a party. Is it the one a block away from here?"

I nodded small and casted my eyes down. He noticed how rigid I was, so he took small steps towards me. His feet were light and soundless, like a deer in its own forest. The small smile on his face was calm and assuring. The gesture only had me relax for a moment.

"The names Fray." He finally said after he planted his feet no further than an arm length away. "I can give you a ride home, if you want. My truck is parked somewhere near."

I gave him a suspicious look. "How do I know I should trust you?"

His smile widened as he stuck his hands back into his pockets. "I think it's a risk your willing to take."

I bit my lip and looked around, finding myself hopeless. I sighed and nodded, which broadened his smile as he lead me towards a shabby pick up truck at the end of the street.
