Gazing through the sun's rays of autumn afternoon, birds sailed in the bright sky. They sang and chirped with the clouds in large flocks, it's feathers leaving dark shadows on the dusty roads. The sun too glistened with the sky, it's rays prowling down the dying yellow fields. I was delighted to notice wide open fields glancing at lonely country houses and peaceful cows. The forest seemed to isolate me further into sorrow and shouting thoughts, corrupting my mind into a place I never wanted to be lured inside. The necklace laid coldly in my clasp, wrapping around my palm like a sly serpent. It reminded me of flaming emerald eyes with shadows of golden fire, looking at me with a mysterious piercing gaze. Quickly, I shook the thought away.
At the corner of my eye, Chalice, straightly poised, held the steering wheel calmly as he spoke. The last hour held an awkward silence with soft taps on anything that made a sound. To entertain me, Chalice now chose to obnoxiously tell an old tale of his from long ago.
"If you must know," Chalice explained on. "Napoleon wasn't as interested in women as everyone thought he was..."
"Chalice," I interrupted, glancing at him quickly. "I don't really understand much about anything anymore."
He looked at me sideways. "I never thought Napoleon's sexuality is so difficult to understand."
"No," I said irritably. "About...supernaturals. About where they came from, about who I am. I thought I understood everything by now, but...it's still so hard to swallow."
He was quiet for a moment. Chalice shifted slightly in his chair as he slowly yielded to a stop sign. "Well, surely you know how your kind became existent?"
I stared forward and shook my head. Chalice continued to drive down the bumpy roads, sighing in slight surprise. "Well, I suppose I'll start from the beginning."
"Like I briefly explained from before, it was said Angels were servants of God, protecting the beings that He created. Then, they fell down to earth and made new creatures as yourself, which are nephilim of course. But long story short, the bible missed some crucial information that happened once Noah and his arc drifted through the flood."
"So, the bible hid important information?"
"No, the bible can never hide what was true." Chalice replied. "The crucial evidence needed between those passages are information that one could never live to tell. It was the time of the flood, miss Natalie, and no mortal could tell what else had happened other than Noah's arc. That is why 'the Book of Revelat' was created."
"What is that?" I questioned.
"The Book of Revelat means the 'The Book of Reveals'. It shows what happened in the past that wasn't mentioned in the bible or any other tale that was ever told. Harry has a copy of one, he could possibly show it to you, but he doesn't necessary believe in such things."
