Supernatural, a word that seems to interest the human mind. A word that seemed harmless to the human ear.
It gives a mortal the perspective of where creatures-completely diverse-belong. A category where all supposing living things from stories in the past are myths. Myths that cannot be proven.
But they weren't meant to be proven, they were meant to be concealed.
Supernaturals were made to be hidden, to hide from the eyes of the mortals that can never understand their existence. They all lurked in the shadows, waiting for the weaklings before them to crumble and blow away like dust.
They desperately wanted to step out of the shadows and show their existence, but they knew that the mortals will never allow their species into their world. They chose to stay hidden for the greater good. But secrets were never made to be hidden, they were made to be spat out.
One mistake ruined it all, one mistake that created chaos into the mortal's world.
War.
Supernaturals were naturally powerful predators, leaving humans as ghazals. They would have easily taken their lives, burning them alive with a cackle of power. But, they wanted peace and civility. The repeating war grew boring in their eyes, and they want nothing more than to end the meaningless battle.
But their weak minds and naivety killed them, ruining their whole existence.
They let the humans have the upper hand, an advantage. Mortals were blinded with greed and selfishness to see the peaceful treaty they could have held in their grasps. Once they found what they needed, they wanted nothing more than to destroy the disparate species.
After the war, humans assumed supernaturals were destroyed forever.
But, humans could possibly have assumed too quickly. Maybe there is more out hiding in the shadows, lurking for more blood to trickle down their deadly hands.
Maybe they want vengeance; war even.
But, there will always be someone between the good and evil.
Someone that has to choose which side they want to be on.
And evil can always be deceitful.
