While they were driving home, Haseena had a wide grin on her face. To avoid any confrontation with Karishma about it, she started looking outside and recalling everything Karishma had said and done to persuade her. It was a quiet drive all along when suddenly a tiny winced voice caught her attention. She looked at Karishma who was rubbing her head and her expression was all stressed.
Haseena's expression changed and out of concern she asked “Aap thik hai sar dard kar raha hai”
“Ha bas thoda sa,” replied Karishma softly while rubbing her neck and concentrating on the road ahead.
Karishma’s face showed discomfort and vexation.
Haseena understood her distress and said gently: "Ek kaam kijiye koi café dikhe toh side mai lagaye"
“What?” Karishma asked in a slightly annoyed tone.
“Aapko jab bhuk lagti hai na toh aap shant ho jati hai aur aapka sar dard bhi karta hai” said Haseena casually like she knew it long time.
In shock, Karishma glanced at Haseena once before returning her attention to the road.
“Itna hairan hone ki koi zarurat nahi hai “ asked Haseena as proud smile spread across her face as she continued, "Hum itne mahino se saath rah rahe hai toh thodi bohot chiz samajne lage hai aap ke bare mai."
Karishma’s lips curve into a smile after hearing her response, while Haseena notices it and turns towards her as she asks "Kuch khaya tha"
Then Karishma just shook her head in no and responded, "Vo mai jaise hi ghar aayi waisi hi tum se milne aagayi aur airport pe bhi kuch khane ka man nahi kar raha tha."
Haseena was taken aback and said “Iska matlab subhe se aapne kuch nahi khaya hai”
Karishma replied “Nahi matlab coffee pi thi flight mai”
Haseena smiled and said “Toh chailye kuch kha lete hai hume bhi thodi si bhuk lagi hai”
Karishma exclaimed, "There is a café on the way, we will stop there and you can order your favorite ginger tea too."
Karishma parked the car near the café and they both entered inside. It wasn't a fancy cafe, but a quiet and cozy one. Haseena surveyed the place as Karishma placed their order. The two settled themselves at the table and Karishma immediately laid her head down on the table while waiting for their order.
"Bilkul sahi kahti hai Pushpee inhe Krishu babu", Haseena murmured looking at her cute antics and asked “Bohot dard ho raha hai kya”
With tired eyes, Karishma looked at Haseena still resting on the table. She replied, "Yes, but its part of my job. Pilots' jobs are often unpredictable and unstable."
"It's a very demanding job, isn't it?" asked Haseena benevolently
Karishma quickly said "Yes it’s a fascinating job but people only know the glamorous side of it. Oh, you are a pilot? Amazing! You get to travel the world. Hey, you must be earning a lot of money. My god, you are surrounded by beautiful people all the time, and so on. However, there are some drawbacks as well. Pilots face more challenges than almost any other job, as they are responsible for the operation of the aircraft and the lives of the passengers. A pilot must be in the correct frame of mind as any mistake he or she makes can have catastrophic consequences. The job isn’t a typical 9-to-5— instead, pilots fly overnight from different timezone to timezone, at strange hours. They’re away from home, and from their families, for long stretches of time. The ups and downs are constant, and we fly at all hours of the day. Takeoff and landing are the trickiest parts of a given flight, requiring all of a pilot’s attention and mental energy. So you end up sacrificing a lot of your sleep. It limits your social life and family time. Eating and sleeping timing has a significant impact on your physical and mental health. It’s stress on your body.” Karishma sighs as she rested her chin on her hands.
