The next morning, Haseena slowly opened her eyes, feeling a rush of warmth and excitement as she welcomed another day leading up to the most important day of her life. The mehndi on her hands had developed a deep, rich color, a beautiful reminder of the love and blessings surrounding her. She closed her eyes again, whispering a silent prayer of gratitude to the Almighty for everything she had.
A smile played on her lips as she blushed, her heart fluttering with the anticipation of a bride-to-be. Careful not to disturb Santosh, who was still sleeping peacefully, Haseena quietly freshened up. As she stepped out of her room, something caught her attention—Karishma was on the terrace, talking on the phone. But what really struck her was the worried expression on Karishma's face, the same one she had noticed the day before while she was on the phone.
A sense of unease washed over Haseena. She could tell something was troubling Karishma, and she felt a strong urge to find out what it was. Determined to get to the bottom of it, she made her way towards the terrace. However, a voice from behind stopped her in her tracks.
"Behna, vo bag ready hua hai kya tumhara? Mai jaake tumhare quarter mai rakh deta hu," Rajveer asked as he approached her.
Haseena turned to face him, her expression clearly worried. Before Rajveer could ask what was wrong, Haseena quickly replied, "Ha, bag... vo ha," but her eyes kept darting back towards the terrace where Karishma was.
Rajveer noticed her concern and asked, "Kya hua, behena? Pareshan lag rahi ho."
"Nahi, vo kuch nahi, Bhaiya. Vo bag ready hai. Aapko abhi lake deti hu," Haseena replied, trying to sound more composed.
Rajveer, curious about Haseena's earlier worried expression, decided to let it go for now. "Ye Santu ne acha idea diya ke tum, vo, aur Priyanshu aaj quarter mai raho aur kal direct magistrate office mai milo shaadi ke liye." trying to lighten the mood.
"Officially grand entry jo karvani hai as Mrs. Singh Mallik, kyu?" Santosh chimed in, yawning as she walked towards them.
"Par seriously, Chutki ko kaise manaya? Varna madam toh Haseena ko ek pal ke liye apni aankhon se door na kare," Rajveer teased, a grin on his face while Haseena blushed.
"Aapko The Santosh ka magic nahi pata, Bhaiya?" Santosh joked, then leaned in to whisper to Rajveer, "Vo kya hai na, bola unko thoda ghar sajao aur kamra ready karo apni first night ke liye." She winked mischievously.
Rajveer nodded with a knowing smile, while Haseena, who hadn't caught the whisper, looked slightly confused.
"Aap dono continue kijiye, hum bag leke aate hain," Haseena said, deciding to leave the conversation. Rajveer and Santosh followed her towards her room to help with the bag.
By afternoon, the house was abuzz with activity as preparations for the haldi function were in full swing. Karishma and Haseena were each busy getting ready in their respective rooms. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as everyone hustled about, ensuring every detail was perfect for the ceremony. Bright yellow decorations adorned the house, and the aroma of festive food wafted through the air, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the day. The echoes of laughter and snippets of conversations filled the lively atmosphere, making it clear that this was another joyous day in their beloved journey together.
Haseena was all set to go downstair and enjoy the function as Santosh has called her twice to come downstair as she was moving toward the door but somebody pulled her inside and caged her between the arms she was bit stunned but know the person very well
"Aap normal logo ki tarah bartav nahi kar sakti na? Aise kon aata hai?" Haseena asked, shaking her head playfully, a smile tugging at her lips.
Karishma grinned, a mix of mischief and affection in her eyes, and replied, "Mai aur kon?"
