In the evening, Pushpaji came into the living room and relaxed on the couch after a hectic day. As she had made Karishma eat soup and rest since her body was aching due to fever and her medicine made her sleepy. As Pushpaji believed her dream of Karishma having a loving and caring partner would come true after so many years, her happiness was limitless. She actually started daydreaming of Haseena being the ideal daughter-in-law and how amazing it would be having her in the family for forever. They would always gang up against Karishma and that would irritate her the most but love her too. Haseena and Karishma's cute banter will fill the days. It will be interesting to watch her daughter's attempts to make up with her angry wife, as she has never seen her romantic side before.

A broad smile spread across Pushpaji's face as she expressed gratitude to Shivji for his blessings. As she was absorbed in her own thoughts, the doorbell rang, snapping her out of her trance and getting her up to check who was there.

Before she could react, Haseena stormed into the house with frustration, saying, “Ye kya hai Pushpee, Hum subha se aapka phone try kar rahe hai ek martaba toh answer karti na, pata hai hum kitne pareshan ho rahe the, aur toh aur humein kitne bure bure khayal aa rahe the. Hum samajhte hai k aap bahut busy hongi par ek text toh kar sakti thi na ap.”

Having been stunned, Pushapji replied, "Are meri maa pehle thodi saans toh le," as she could understand her concern. Her face was worn out, and the freshness on her face had disappeared, replaced by despair, while her eyes were filled with pain.

Haseena headed straight for the kitchen. She sighed deeply while pouring herself a glass of water in the dining area and said, “Aapko pata hai humein na raat se ajeeb si bechaini ho rahi thi, aur phir subah se aapne phone nahi uthaya toh hum office se siddha yahan aagaye aap se milne.''

“Pehle toh shanti se baitho aur main bilkul thik hoon,” said Pushpaji while asking her to sit down and lovingly continued, “I am sorry mere bache, woh subah se Krishu k peeche hi thi, usne aapni tabiyat kharab kar k rakhi hai aur usi bhaaga daudi mein phone check karna hi bhul gayi.”

“Kya?” Haseena asked, stunned, wanting to ensure that she had heard it correctly.

“Woh subah Krishu ko dekhne uske room mein gayi toh woh behosh padhi thi, aur uska pura badan bukhar se taap raha tha. Kal shayad baarish mein bheeg k ghar aayi thi, aur toh aur waise hi so gayi. Subah use aise dekh main darr gayi thi, mujhe hi pata hai kaise uske kapde change kiye aur Dr ko bulaya," explained Pushpaji in detail with a worried expression on her face.

Haseena stood stunned as her heart started pounding, her brain was still processing what she heard, and her eyes filled with tears. Concerned, yes that's exactly how she felt at that moment; she desperately wanted to run and see her. She was confused as well as unsure why she was feeling so bad when she must be angry at that person for hurting her so badly. She controlled her emotions and within a millisecond, her expression turned from worried to annoyed. She turned her back and wiped her tears but Pushpaji saw her reaction and said, “Abhi thik hai woh, Dr ne injection de diya tha aur dopeher ko hosh bhi aaya tha, phir maine zabardasti sulaya hai use dawai dekar. Chinta ki koi baat nahi hai.”

“Humein….. Hum bhala kyun pareshan honge unke liye, aur waise bhi hum yahan sirf aapko dekhne aaye the, humein unke bare mein janne ki koi dilchaspi nahi hai,” said Haseena as her voice conveyed her struggle to cope with her own emotions.

Pushpaji understood her anger and said overdramatically to provoke her further, "Ha sahi kaha tumhe kya hi farak padta hai, agar woh bichari bukhar mein taap rahi thi ya uski wajah se kitni kamzori aayi hai use.”

While Haseena clutched her jaw and gripped her dupatta tightly, Pushpaji continued, "Jane do, uske baare mein hum baat hi kyu kar rahe hai."

With an inscrutable face, Haseena held her emotions tight as if nothing could affect her. Finally, she cleared her throat and stammered, "Pushpee woh hum.…. Humara matlab hai k….. Chai…. Chai piyengi ap, hum…. Hum bana dete hai.”
