The serene moment of the lovebirds was interrupted by the sound of someone stepping on dried leaves. Haseena, feeling a rush of embarrassment, hid her flushed face in Karishma's chest. On the other hand, Karishma turned around to see who had disturbed them, only to be shocked to find Jasmeet standing there with her eyes closed.

“Jasmeet,” Karishma uttered in surprise as she turned around, with Haseena standing behind her.

“Karma hits you hard, yaad hai kuch saal pehle, you caught me in the same situation,” said Jasmeet calmly as she approached them.

In a split second, Karishma was flooded with memories of the past, and she abruptly and angrily replied, “Ek minute, Ms. Brar, aap apni situation ko meri situation se compare hi nahi kar sakti. I am with my fiancée, and we are getting married in the next three days.” She held Haseena's hand in hers and continued, “Aap apni girlfriend ko dhoka dekar kisi aur ke saath thi.”

“Krishu,” called Haseena in a low tone and grabbed her jacket sleeves.

Jasmeet glanced at Haseena momentarily, but her attention returned to Karishma as she said, “Thik hai, maanti hoon, dono situations alag hai. Par sach maan, I am happy for you that you moved on. Pata hai, paanch saal se sirf Babaji se teri khushi mangi hai, Rab di sau.”

“Toh ab kya chahti ho? Kyun aayi ho tum yahan?” asked Karishma, gritting her teeth.

“Meri tujhe takleef pahuchane ka koi irada nahi tha, na hi aise achanak se tere zindagi mein aane ka. Sach maan, kabhi socha nahi tha ki kabhi aise mulakat hogi, par tujhe kaise yaqeen dilau Krishu, agar maine tujhe takleef pahunchayi hai toh main bhi ek pal ke liye chain se nahi reh payi hoon,” explained Jasmeet sincerely.

Trying to control her anger, Karishma clenched her fist tightly and said, “Ho gaya tumhara ya aur bhi kuch baki hai?”

“Krishu, aaram se,” Haseena intervened, in a concerned tone and attempting to calm her down.

Karishma turned to Haseena and said, "Haan biwi, shant hi hoon main, isse jyada shanti se baat nahi ho payegi mujhse.”

Jasmeet looked at Haseena and, showing her palm in a gesture that she could manage, said, “Tumhe fikar karne ki zaroorat nahi hai, isko aur iske gusse ko achhe se janti hoon main. I can handle it.”

Haseena experienced a mixture of emotions, feeling both jealousy and anger simultaneously, as someone tried to assert that they knew Karishma better than she did.

“Krishu, meri yaqeen man, paanch saal se main bhi ek guilt ke saath hi rahi hoon. Guilt tujhe dhoka dene ka, guilt humari rishta aise mukam par lakar tod dene ka, guilt apni best friend ko khone ka,” Jasmeet expressed with a voice filled with guilt and frustration.

Karishma, folded her hand near her chest, asked, "Kya chahti ho haan? Sab bhul jau jo tumne mere saath kiya?"

“Krishu yaar, I am sorry, aur jitni baar bolegi na, utni baar maafi mangungi. Sach batau to teri gussa seh sakti hoon, par teri narazgi mujhe takleef deti hai,” pleaded Jasmeet with a tremble in her voice.

Karishma interrupted, looking at her with furious eyes and nearly yelling, “Takleef… Takleef ki baat tum na hi karo toh acha hai. Tum aage badh gayi thi bina soche k mera kya hoga tumhare bina. I had nobody. Amma tak ko sach nahi bata payi thi. Bahut manti thi woh tumhe, aur main nahi chahti thi k tumhare baare mein jaan kar unhe takleef ho.”

“Amma!” whispered Jasmeet under her breath as tears flowed from her cheeks.

Karishma continued, “Janti ho, todh ke rakh diya tha mujhe tumhare dokhe ne. I self-doubted myself. I was in misery for all these years just because of you. Cheating is a choice, Jasmeet Brar, and you chose it,” in a bit loud tone.
