With my hand shaking with anger and the deep terrifying feeling I had in the pit of my stomach I tried calling Lia for the 6th time, why won't she answer? God Im so angry! Ugh I don't know how Im going to get home. This is awful.
I started shivering in the hard seat of the taxi. I was on my way to Nilesy's hotel dispite the worry I was going through. Not many people would understand, It's just a train right? No big deal..It is for me however, my brain...exagertates things. Makes things bigger, louder, scarier. Like trains. I've heard about too many suicides, too many crashes, and too many kidnapps and rape victims who have been stolen away on trains. But the worst of all, is when I heard of a horrible news story. There was this girl, who was pushed into a railway by a man in a black hoodie, and there were body parts..everywhere. No. I can't handle this on my own.
For the last time, enthralled by my own terror, I pressed the ring button again. ''Hiyaaa! You've reached Lia's Voicemail, Im not here right now so-'' I angrily discontinued the call. How can she do this to me? Some best friend. But I cant overthink this, It's all gonna be fine Ree. You know it.
To take my mind off of trains I unlocked my ipod and started reading a random story on wattpad. Not really concentrating and letting my eyes glaze over and go fuzzy at the words. Soon enough we were outside the hotel, a much fancier one than ours, and I had paid the man and he had driven off. With all the train worrying I had no time to be nervous about meeting my dream guy once more. But now the nerves rushed over me like a ice-cold tidal wave. I tired to calm myself and force my body to stop shaking as I stepped up the stairs and entered the lobby, greeted by a smiling bell man.
You can't imagine how relieved I was when I saw Nilesy across the room, sprawled out on a nearby arm chair next to some other guys, one I recognised to be Sips (yay) and the other I wasn't sure who. I walked over to them as best I could without any awkward twitches or shaking and gently poked Nilesy who's back was turned to me.
Almost instantly he turned round and grinned when he saw me. I notcied now he wasn't wearing a paper bag but quite a thick navy beanie pulled over his head. I smiled and tried to look as normal as I could without showing any signs of the fact my stomach was doing flips, like a flipping thing on flipping tablets. ''Guys, this is the girl I said I was meeting. Er, Ree. Ree, this is Chris otherwise known as Sips and Rythian'' Nilesy said smiling up at me. I nervously smiled at the guys and waved my hand, ever so awkwardly. Shit.
''And what a fine specimen she is. Tell me Ree, which is better science or magic?'' Rythian said chuckling at me with a twisted glint in his eye.
From past experience I answered almost too quickly, ''Magic..of course.. cus like unicorns and Harry Potter..and stuff..'' I laughed nervously, trying to avoid eye contact.
''Ah! Good. You shall be fine then.''
''No way! Science is better. I mean god, gold pipes and dirt factories don't just happen by magic. Get it together Rythian.'' Sips said shaking his head.
Not sure what to do next I hugged my right arm with my left hand quickly glancing at Nilesy.
''Well before you two start tekkit war No.2 me and Ree are gonna get a bite to eat. Catcha later'' Nilesy said getting up and standing in front of me. I took this as a indication to start moving too so i said a quick ''Cya, it was nice to meetcha'' to Sips and Rythian and followed Nilesy out of the main entrance.
''So erm, food?'' I said trying to make conversation as we walked down the steps.
''Yeah, know anywhere good? Aha.''
''Erm, well no..not really...I've only actually been to mcdonalds to eat.'' I said blushing. It isn't cute for girls to eat greasy food Ree.
''Im not that big a fan of Mcdonalds. I prefer Kfc to be honest'' He said stopping and turning to me.
