Chap 5 (Shadow)

Crimson and i destroyed Eggman's guard bots. We jumped over the gate and head for cover from the lights. Then i got a call for GUN HQ. "There's an SOS coming from Dr. Eggman's base. Our last communication with our agent was 26 hours ago. We expect an immediate rescue, Shadow the Hedgehog and Crimson Cheshire."

"Understood." I said as i ended the call.

"How did you talk me into joining GUN again?" Crimson asked me.

I just smirked. "Initiating the mission now." Then we teleported to another section of the area.

We beat up some more robots and rescued the captured agent. Although... I think the agent escaped prison. The agent just hadn't escaped the robots.

We found the agent... Who was actually Rouge, and started to head out.

"Don't you wanna know what this is?" Asked Rouge.

"My assignment was to rescue you. Nothing more." I said.

"Nyeh. I like learning about Legends and Myths and such." Crimson said behind me.

"Fine." Rouge said. "With you, it's always business." Then there was an earthquake and more of Dr. Eggman's robots appeared.

"It seems they don't want us to leave." Said Rouge.

"Gee, you think?" Crimson said sarcastically.

"Hmph." I said. "Let's get this over with."

After that, we had to fight this big... Robot... Dog thing or whatever. But after we beat it, we saw a teleporting pad and hop on it. Then, we were teleported to a weird room with a huge map on it.

"Ah, Soleana, the city of water. It has a constitutional monarchy you know." Said Rouge. "The primary industries are tourism and crafting precision machinery."

I saw a picture of a girl and walked over to it. Rouge explained again, "The current sovereign is Princess Elise the Third.

I crossed my arms. "Why does Eggman's base lead to an odd place like this?"

"How should i know?" Asked Rouge. "I just followed my orders and retrieved the item."

"Maybe because you've been here for just over 24 hours." Crimson muttered quietly. I don't think Rouge heard though.

"Anyway," Rouge continued. "I have a little favor to ask of you. Could you escort me to the GUN rendezvous point?"

"Where's the rendezvous point?" I asked.

She pointed to a red colored area on the map. "It's the ancient castle of Soleana, in Kingdom Valley."

"Ok. Then let's go!" Crimson said, jumping up and down. "I wanna finish this mission already so i don't have to go and talk to GUN every 20 minutes!"

"You're so precised." Rouge commented.

"Yeah well, i like to finish things that i got into but didn't start. Know what i mean?" Crimson said.

"I guess." Rouge said. "Now let's get going." Then we left. But i have a feeling something bad is going to happen.
