"What took you so much time to grace us with your presence?" Mukti asked when he sat near her on the sofa in the drawing room.
"None of your concern" Manik said with tight lip smile.
They gathered to perform Rakhi rituals. Mukti was sitting there waiting for everyone. Aarav announced that he would take bath with his father so they are coming late too, Dev was also getting ready and Nyonika in kitchen while Nandini joined her.
"Badi bahen hu tameez se baat kiya kar" Mukti said narrowing her eyes at him.
"Dil bahut krta hai but then mind says naa you don't deserve" he said making faces at her and she smacked her shoulder.
"Thanks for making him understand" she said when he put his arm around her shoulder.
"So, ab m pakka Mama ban Raha hu na?" he asked in same tone.
"Wese what you said wo maan gya" Mukti further asked scratching her chin.
"Mene nahi Nandini ne manaya" he said in low tone.
"How?" her brows met at the center.
"I told him what she said to me when I told her everything" he said and kissed her temple.
"Kya khusphus ho rahi hai?" Nyonika asked coming with tray in her hands.
"I will die starving" Mukti said dramatically to her mother. Her pregnancy made her hungry.
"Tujhe kab se itni bhook lagne lagi" Nyonika frowned at her because she hardly ate.
"Just abhi se. de do yrr" she whined and taking tray from her hands she placed it on table not before taking her glass of orange juice.
"Naani mujhe bhi" Aarav said running from stairs at her.
"Dheere aa beta" Nyonika said but before that he slipped in Manik's arms.
