Ch. 17 "Skip"

                                  Parker POV 

I was currently sitting in the abandoned Loft of a Barn where I normally go. I was supposed to go to school today. But I just didn't have the heart to do that. I called in saying I wasn't quite ready to return today. 

Of course they understood I mean who wouldn't I just lost the last of my family. I have no one left. 

I still haven't shown Steve or Bucky the paperwork I found. why should I so they can eventually leave me too. 

I laid on my back looking at the ceiling in a daze. 

I sighed 

What am I going to do? I just don't feel motivated to do anything. 

No hacking. No writing my songs. nothing. 

Yeah I play guitar but not anymore. I just don't have the heart to do anything anymore. 

I sighed again. 

"What's the point." I mumbled 

                                      Steve POV 

Me and Bucky were in the kitchen we just got done with a run. We were both getting some water. Tony was reading his tablet when Peter walked in. 

"Hey kid your late. How was school?" Tony said 

"Okay. Have you see Parker? Teacher told me to give this weeks missed assignments." Peter said 

This caused me to almost choke on my water. 

"What do you mean? We sent her to school today." Bucky said 

We sent her to school so she wouldn't sit around here and keep thinking about the obvious. 

"Well she wasn't in school today." Peter said 

"Wait if she didn't go to school where the hell is she?" Sam said 

I went to say something. 

"Don't say it Steve." Sam said 

"I have an idea on how to find out." Tony said 

We looked at each other. 

                                    Parker POV 

I walked out of the barn and into the field of wheat. And just laid down on my back watching the clouds. 

I sighed 

Closing my eyes. 

This is all my fault.... I thought 

I just should've been there for him. If I wasn't out doing my hacking I would have been there to help him. I could have done something to save him. 

But I wasn't and Now he's gone. It's all my fault and now I'm alone. I sighed again. 

I hear someone clear their throat. my eyes shoot open and see Steve and Bucky standing over me. 

I sit up. 

"How did you find me?" I said 

"Not that hard." Bucky said 

I sighed and stood up. 

"Parker why did you skip school?" Steve said 

"I... I just wan't ready to go back just yet..." I said 

"Come lets go back to the tower so we can talk." Bucky said pressing his hand between my shoulder blades lightly 

I just nodded
