Before Salomé could even open her eyes, her hands wandered around the bed trying to feel the familiar warm body. No luck, his side was cold, meaning Tommy had left Salomé's side long before she had awaken. Salomé sat up from the bed, messy hair from not being able to wrap it up, looking around the room groggily for any sight of Tommy.
No sight of him.
"Tommy?" Salomé called out rubbing her face. "Tommy, you still here?" Salomé called out again, removing the covers from her body. "Lord I'm never drinking again." Salomé groaned as she got out of the bed. No longer having that warm feeling like last night, she grabbed the cover and draped it over her shoulders like a shawl. Salomé walked out the room, down the stairs looking for any sight of Tommy. But yet he still wasn't around. "Tommy?" Salomé called out his name again once more when she made it downstairs, her head peeking around the tea room to see he wasn't in there sitting by the fireplace and not in the kitchen sitting at the table.
Just like clockwork Tommy entered the house. "See yer up." Tommy said taking off his hat and long coat. "Where'd ya go?" Salomé yawned taking a seat at the kitchen table. "Figuring out where ya next hot meal would be coming from." Salomé laughed at that statement, she wouldn't be having a hot meal at her home in awhile until this Tommy situation died down. "Now where would that hot meal be coming from?" Salomé couldn't imagine Thomas Shelby slaving over a stove, cooking them a meal. "Aht aht, that's not all you have Tommy." Salomé pointed at a wrapped object in his other hand. Tommy smiled placing the item on the table in front of Salomé. "When I went out to handle early business, I crossed paths with yer' cousin, Clara." "What did she say? Does she know?" Salomé perked up hearing her dear cousin's name. "She said come home soon, that yer father misses you and also to give you that." Tommy pointed at the wrapped item on the table. Salomé immediately began to unwrap what her cousin made for her. Clara had packed Salomé a set of clothes to last her for 2 days. Unfolding one of the dresses a letter fell out from it. Salomé saw that the letter was from back home Lafayette, Louisiana. A letter from Daniel LaFont, a old friend that Salomé had forgotten about during her time in Small Heath.
Tommy saw how busy Salomé eyes were looking over the letter she hadn't yet opened. Tommy wanted to ask who the letter was from and why did she grow silent, silent like someone had dropped the biggest bombshell in the room. Tommy also saw how Salomé tucked the letter in one of the dresses and quickly changed her expression to a smile as she looked back up at him. "Thank you for giving me this Tommy, didn't quite feel right being in the same dreary clothes from yesterday." Salomé got up and gave Tommy a big hug, almost surprising him. Tommy was growing more and more comfortable with this level of affection that Salomé would constantly give him. "I'm going to clean myself up and then you can tell me where this hot meal is coming from." Salomé left and went upstairs, taking the letter with her.
