Fearful Monsters

As a young child my fears laid in what hid in the darkness.

Some of the creatures I thought I saw had gruesome faces and bodies, and others had no faces at all.

But the thing that always stuck with me was the fact each and everyone of them were eerily silent and clothed in black.

They blended well with the inky blackness they cloaked themselves with.

Now years older I realized monsters walk right before my eves.

They aren't always the ugly creatures beneath your bed or in your closet, they might be humans who laugh upon suffering.

They could be the ones who feel no guilt for their wrong doings.

These monsters aren't blind to their choices but choose to repeat them.

Those monsters are real life.
