Chaeryeong was wincing and hissing in pain as she touches the wounds that has dried blood on some of them. She must have got the injuries when she was running away, escaping her own mansion, the bricks scratched her.
"Leg." the icy tone never failed to intimidate her.
Yeji sat down on the floor in front of her, her hand asking Chaeryeong to lift her leg. The girl felt hesitant but still gave in anyway, since the older said to clean her wounds, she left no choice. She was taken aback to see the older taking off her shoes and stockings so carefully as if she was scared that she might hurt the younger.
The shoes and socks were placed at the side. When Yeji turns her head back to look at the girl's injuries, she suddenly froze on the spot like she saw something weird on the latter's leg. "Um... Is there something wrong?"
Words from the younger pulled her back from her thoughts. She blinked a few times trying to get her sense back, and then she clears her throat, asking "How did you get this?"
"Pardon?" Chaeryeong looked at the girl in confusion and her gaze averts down to where the older was staring at. "O-Oh, the mark you mean? It's a birthmark, although it looks like a weird logo. My father said I was born with it."
"Your father?"
"Yeah, my father, Lee Hyun."
"Oh." Yeji clenched her jaw tightly, it was noticeable that Chaeryeong saw it. "Why? What's wrong?"
"Nothing." was the only response from the girl. It sounded as cold as always.
Yeji took out a clean cloth and poured some antiseptic liquid on it. She was about to clean the wounds with the soaked cloth when suddenly Chaeryeong jolted, she let out a loud whimper as the cloth made contact with her wounded skin. It hurts so much her body tensed up and her hand gripped tightly on Yeji's shoulder.
"Mmh!—" the older groaned deeply at the sudden feeling of the latter's finger digging into her. Her eyes widened for a second before she tried bearing the pain. She looked at the hand on her shoulder, then she fixed her gaze on Chaeryeong.
The younger panicked, she felt like she had made trouble when she saw how the older was glaring at her. She retreats her hand from the girl as she spills the words out nervously, "S-Sorry!! Are you okay? Did I hurt you? Did I—"
"You can hold onto me." Yeji said as she averts her gaze back to the wounds and she added, "If it hurts."
The words uttered by the older surely surprised Chaeryeong. Was Yeji actually being soft towards her? Whatever way she acts around the younger, her behaviour doesn't match up to her indifferent personality.
Eventually, Yeji released a sigh when she finished the cleaning. It took quite some time since there weren't only small cuts but big scratches on her legs and arms too. "Done."
The tall girl picked up the blood-soaked cotton pads in her hand, cleaned the mess she made on the floor and walked away.
"T-Thank you..." Chaeryeong muttered, feeling awkward because the girl didn't even stop walking to listen to her, nor she gave replies, she just left Chaeryeong alone sitting on the sofa as she enters a room.
Lee looked around the place, trying to adapt to the environment. It doesn't look like a house though, there were no windows anywhere. It looks more like a basement.
She clenched her fists tightly as she tried to relax staying around that kind of atmosphere. The place is so quiet. Too quiet that it made her feel uneasy, her eyes kept finding their way to glance at the weapons displayed on the wall. It was until then she realized her fingertips had some kind of liquid.
It could be her sweat but no, it doesn't feel like it. It was quite a big patch of fluid. She faced down to look at her hand as she loosens her fist, she got shocked.
"B-Blood?" she stuttered, her eyes enlarged in slight fear.
„No way I clawed on her shoulder earlier it made her bleed like this... I wasn't even gripping hard.‟ she frowned as she talks to herself mentally.
Then she gasped surprisingly upon thinking, „Did she go into the fight and injured herself?‟

"I've never seen someone would treat their target's wound so willingly." Ryujin leaned her shoulder on the wall and looked at the tall girl.
"What are you trying to imply?"
"Oh, you know what I'm trying to tell you. Don't act like a fool here."
"I don't understand you," Yeji replied after taking off her clothes, leaving only her sports bra on. Ryujin sighed sharply, she creased her eyebrows.
"If you don't kill her soon, you'll be the one in trouble, Yeji. You know that."
"I know, Ryu. But I- Argh!— fuck..." the taller girl cursed and shut her eyes to soothe the pain away from the wound that was stinging her shoulder.
"What the hell? Just look at you right now, injured because of her." Ryujin frowned her brows hard as she tilted her head to see what happened. "It's just a knife cut."
"Just? Well sure, we've gone through a lot of injuries and I know there are so many scars on your body by bullets or knives but that doesn't mean this is nothing, Yeji!" the short-haired girl raised her voice a little higher.
"Why the hell are you raising your voice? I am fine."
"It's gonna leave a big scar there, idiot."
"Cool then."
"Can you just stop talking back?"
"Then I'm going for a shower. Talk later." Yeji said before she enters the bathroom and slammed the door. Ryujin stared at the closed door, her hand ruffling her hair in annoyance, "What is wrong with her??"
