"She forgot," Yeji said.

"What?" Ryujin asked in confusion.

The older looked at her and sighed. "I told Chaeryeong about our past. Kind of."

The two are in the older girl's room as the sun is rising soon. Yeji didn't get any sleep after the talk with Chaeryeong. She couldn't. As she got off the bed to wash up, Ryujin came into her room since she wanted to check if the older had come back or hadn't.

"Why? How much have you expected her to remember?"

"I didn't expect anything. Just surprised that she doesn't remember a single thing about it. It's only been 8 years, Ryu. She was already 13 at that time."

The short-haired girl leaned her shoulder against the wall as she took a sip at her cup of coffee, "You're disappointed because you want her to remember everything in the past. And you mostly want her to remember you. Admit it."

Yeji halted, staring into the blank when she first heard the sentence. She then faced the girl who was looking at her, and the older uttered, "I am not."

Ryujin sighed, "You may be cold on the outside, but you can't hide much from me, Yeji. I've known you for quite a long as well. Showing emotions isn't hard, you know. It would make you feel better. You shouldn't always keep everything to yourself."

"You're wrong. Your weakness will be shown once you start showing emotions. This is what I'd learned after she was gone." the older talked back.

"Your way of thinking is too wrong. You shouldn't—"

"If I've never shown too much emotion, Chaeryeong wouldn't get taken away. That bastard Lee Hyun knows too much of me. My weaknesses. First Chaeryeong, then the whole clan. He took everything away, Ryujin." Yeji speaks clenching her jaw, her eyes showing anger and hatred.

"Calm down, would you?" the short-haired shushed her.

"She wouldn't forget me if it wasn't him."

The older mumbled, but Ryujin still heard it. She grinned, "You're admitting." She laughed when the older said nothing but glared and rolled her eyes at the short-haired girl.

Yeji walked over to her closet and took off her clothes, needing to change. The other girl was still there but she didn't mind since she still had her sports bra on anyway. They've seen each other bare in that way much enough to the point it doesn't surprise them anymore, Ryujin and her had always been helping each other to treat injuries on the body.

Ryujin was still standing near the door, drinking her coffee. As she lifted her head, her gaze averted to the older girl's back that had bandages and wound dressings. "Where the hell did you go last night?"

"I went to Chu's building. I told you, didn't I?" Yeji checked her reflections in the mirror to see the wounds on her body front and back.

"That's evening time. I'm talking about after that. Where the fuck did you get all these injuries from? This is the first time I've seen you with so many injuries."

"I got attacked by his men."

"You? Got attacked? What happened to the Legendary Hwang?" the short-haired girl asked with a light chuckle, felt concerned yet didn't forget to add jokes to her sentence.

"I was in a dark alley when they threw something around me then I felt dizzy. They followed me. But I got my sense back quick enough before they could kill me."

The younger glanced over the wounds on the other's back again before asking, "You guys had problems?"

"I told Chu to not touch Chaeryeong."

"And?"

"I threatened him."

"By that look of yours, there's definitely more than just threatening."

"Well. I did kill some of his men when I barged into his building before, but I only threatened him with words yesterday. Nothing much."

"Wow." Ryujin looked at her with eyes slightly enlarged. "What? Those men that attacked me last night were all dead anyway, it's over. That would totally shut Chu's mouth up."

"Cool... So cool of you to do all these for a girl... Mm..." the short-haired girl teased, which annoyed Yeji. The older threw a marble she took from the table and it hit Ryujin's forehead, she groaned in pain. "Ouch! What's that for!?"

Yeji put on a black shirt before she walked to the short-haired girl, "You should learn to dodge. It seems like you need more training, Ryu." she teased back.

"Oh? How about a match or two?" Ryujin grinned with a brow raised.

"Bring it on." the tall girl smirked back and opened the door, "Meet you there in 30 minutes."

Ryujin went out of the room as soon as the older left. Yeji headed off to the empty area in the forest first(the place they invariably use to train or have friendly fights), and the younger went to prepare herself.
