"You know he would do anything just to get her killed. Anything." Ryujin said.
"She would be fine."
"She will not! Yeji, the time's out!" the short-haired girl yelled. "And you're here, not doing anything!"
Yeji stayed silent, she walked over to the weapon display shelves and took her favourite gun. "If anything happens..." she stopped her sentence midway, taking a cloth to clean her gun and continued, "I'll kill my way to her," she uttered lowly, her sharp eyes raging fiercely.
*phone rings*
< "It's the sixth day, Hwang Yeji." >
< "I am not killing—" >
< "You're such a disappointment. *chuckles lightly* But it's alright. I've got your girl here. Look." > Kim Woo switched the call to video mode.
Yeji clenched her jaw tightly the moment she saw Chaeryeong being tied with chains on the arms and legs and around the waist. She looked like she was half dead.
< "What did you do to her." > asked by the assassin with a cold, low tone, yet her eyes show fury.
< "Oh I did not... *grins* Not yet." > The man handed the phone to one of his men to take as he walked over to Chaeryeong. His hand grabbed her chin and pushed her head up a little to look at the girl's features. < "Look at her, like a sleeping beauty..." >
< "Get your filthy hands off of her!" > Yeji increased her voice.
Kim Woo laughed when he saw the killer's reaction. He signalled another man for a bottle of water, he opened the cap and started pouring the water down on the girl, making her hair all wet and dripping water. < "I'll be waiting, Hwang." >
"Fuck!" The assassin yelled in anger once the call ended. She put the gun in the gun pocket and took the two daggers she just cleaned with her too as she hurriedly went out of the basement and rode her bike to Kim Woo's place.
Ryujin on the other hand, was left in the basement. She sighed, before taking her weapons and leaving the basement with her bike to assist the older.
•=•=•=•=•
"Yeji!" Ryujin called as she parked her vehicle at the side of Yeji's bike. The older ignored her call and was going straight into the building, not until the shorter girl gripped Yeji's forearm to stop her.
"You can't just go in like that, Yeji," Ryujin said sternly. "You got to have a plan."
"I'll kill my way into her, that's the plan." the older frowned in anger.
"You're gonna get killed like this."
Yeji pulled her arm back to loosen Ryujin's grip and spoke in a low tone before she left the shorter to enter the building, "Chaeryeong. Is. Dying."
"For fuck's sake..." Ryujin muttered before she went into the building as Yeji did.
Gunshots were everywhere and all the men and guards were just so peerless to the experienced assassin, they were no match at all to her.
"That... T-That was fast," Ryujin said while panting as she just caught up with Yeji into the building.
Both of the killers went up their way to where Chaeryeong might be. And the taller assassin was furious enough to kill everyone she saw in the building.
Eventually, she reached the outside of Kim Woo's office. "Hold on." Ryujin stopped her from rushing into the room. "Don't try to stop me."
The doors were kicked open with strong force and Yeji barged in. "Ah look! Hwang Ye—"
"Where's Chaeryeong?!" Yeji yelled loudly.
"I'm quite impressed that you really are risking your life for a girl."
"Stop your fucking nonsense, Kim." the assassin glared at him.
The man sighed as he looked at her, and gestured for one of his men to bring Chaeryeong over to his side. A chair was dragged over with the girl sitting on it, tied tightly and her mouth shut closed with black tape.
Chaeryeong cried and tried to talk the moment she saw Yeji standing in front of her. She tried to move, or perhaps escape, to the older but she couldn't. Some bruises were seen on the girl's leg and forearm, and Yeji only felt even mad witnessing it and was in a towering rage.
"Let her go." her voice deepened.
"Just like that?" the man chuckles, "That would be no fun, ain't it?"
"What do you want?"
"Put down your gun." The man glared back at Yeji. She held her gun tightly in her grip and her gaze turned to Chaeryeong, who was shaking her head trying to tell the assassin not to do it.
But she did. The gun dropped onto the floor and Ryujin at the back was in disbelief that she really did that. It was never Yeji's style to surrender or anything no matter what happens. She would've started another round of killing but no, she chose to let go of the gun this time.
Kim Woo grinned and he commanded, "Take them down."
Three men approached Yeji and dragged her closer to where Kim Woo and Chaeryeong were. The men pushed her down, letting her kneel in front of them.
Ryujin on the other hand was caught off guard by the other few men as well, she was prevented from moving. "Fuck it." she hissed lowly.
"Oh, look at you now..." Kim Woo smiled evilly like he had tasted victory.
"Kill me, Kim. Then you let her go."
Chaeryeong cried out wanting to speak, her body struggling and trying to break off the chains but that's just impossible.
"That's quite a good suggestion I might consider." Kim Woo said as he lit a cigar, then chuckled, "Last words?"
Yeji grits her teeth, her jaw clenched tightly and a big lump she felt in her throat making her feel uneasy. It was sickening. "Chaeryeong," she called.
"I'm sorry I killed Lee Hyun. It wasn't for the money. It was for my revenge. He took everything from me, all the people I loved. Especially that one girl." Yeji confessed. She raised her head to look into the younger girl's eyes, and the latter was just crying and crying, those tears just wouldn't stop flowing down her face.
"But I didn't know it was you. The girl, I should have known it was you. I'm sorry." the assassin's face still seemed emotionless during her confession, but in the latter's eyes, all she felt was guilt and sadness.
