„I have you.‟
„I know you'll protect me.‟
Words from Chaeryeong kept running through her mind, repeatedly. It was starting to become hard for her to put aside her thoughts. She was already hesitating about the mission she had accepted before, but now...
What can she do? It has been a month more now and the situation just got worse, as how Ryujin had told her. The longer the time she delays, the more trouble she'll be in.
Even late at midnight, Yeji couldn't fall asleep. Her mind is fully occupied by that one girl she should've killed from the very first encounter in the alley. She stared at the blank ceiling, wide awake.
For a moment she shut her eyes forcing herself into slumber but it didn't work. Instead, an image of the young one's sulky face appeared. Her eyes were shot open, she gulped, calming herself down and muttered, "She looks just as same as how she was before..."
„Things are going the wrong way, I've messed it up.‟
Yeji groaned in annoyance as there were just too many thoughts clogging up her mind. She stepped out of bed, her hand rummaging her dishevelled hair and the fingers stroking it down to comb them straight.
As she went out of the bedroom, she saw Chaeryeong sleeping on the sofa. The tall girl simply just walked away to avoid glancing and left the base, headed to the forested area with her motorbike. She drove further into the forest.
It's beneficial for them having a shelter there since no one comes to this area, they can do anything they want.
Gun shooting, fighting, murder.
*BANG!*
Yeji fired a bullet at one of the big trees there, but one shot obviously couldn't satisfy her. She has to vent. To dump those messy feelings that she hasn't had for a long time.
The girl fired a few more shots, each bullet was aimed to hit the targeted trees perfectly. Her finger pressed on the trigger non-stop, feeling a burn raging in her heart.

Chaeryeong woke up when she heard the sound of the door closing and footsteps that were coming from the stairs. Usually, she would wake up by the sounds of birds chirping, or by the rays of sunshine— now she has to adapt to this new environment.
She sat up straight, back leaning against the sofa. It wasn't as comfortable as those high-quality beds, but at least it didn't give her any trouble falling asleep, it was okay. She was rubbing her bleary eyes when someone talked to her suddenly.
"Oh, you're awake. Want some water?" it was Ryujin.
"Y-Yeah, um, sure—"
A slam on the door caught both of their attention. Someone's back. "Yah, can you not slam the— Why are you sweating so much?" Ryujin raised a brow looking at the tall girl walking in.
She was ignored by the oldest when she just walk to the table and placed a bag of food. She took off her jacket and hung it over a chair, then she took out her gun from the pocket. "You went to murder?"
Yeji glared at Ryujin. Chaeryeong is just sitting there, she could hear them well. It made her surprised to listen to what Ryujin blurted. The short-haired girl wasn't aware for a second but when she turned her head to the girl, she realized what she had said.
"Oh. Kidding. Hahaha..." she laughed awkwardly.
The oldest rolled her eyes at the other. "I went to buy breakfast," she said and proceeded to open the knot of the bag, taking the food out.
"What are these? So much for breakfast?"
"Just feel like eating more today."
"Eating more, huh?" Ryujin let out a smirk, taking a glance at Chaeryeong and eyed Yeji's reaction. "More like buying them for someone else..."
The teasing statement made the other younger flushed, and a shade of pink appeared on the cheeks. It's fortunate that the two didn't see her reaction because she doesn't hope to be teased in the future. However, the words made no effect on the oldest, she still have her cold, emotionless face hanging on.
"Eat it or leave it," Yeji replied the short-haired girl. "Of course, I'll eat! Hey girl, you're Chaeryeong, right? What do you want?"
The oldest was so quiet, busy preparing the food she bought. She took one food box in her hand, and seemed to plan on passing it to someone, "She can have—"
"Chaeryeong which would you prefer?"
It was the short-haired girl who cut her off unintentionally, but Yeji didn't care if she did it on purpose or not; she gave her a glare before she took the box she prepared and walked away, sitting in the corner.
Ryujin on the other hand didn't notice that, even after she saw the oldest glare at her, she took it as one of the latter's usual behaviour and continued her conversation with Chaeryeong.
The two younger girls were taking their breakfasts on the table while the oldest glanced at them from time to time. „Since when did Ryujin become so friendly? She looks so interested in talking with her.‟ Hwang thought.
"You need some water?" Ryujin asked the girl beside her, who nodded with a smile. "Aight, I'll get it for you."
The short-haired girl left to get two cups of water, one for Chaeryeong and one for her own. The girl smiled at Ryujin to thank her when the short-haired girl placed the drink on her side, but who would expect when—
"Oh my god!" Chaeryeong flinched and shouted in shock, looking at the knife that was thrown by someone behind them, inside the water-filled glass. She turned around just to see Yeji on the opposite gazing coldly at them. "Seriously Yeji, showing off your knife-throwing skills?" Ryujin uttered.
Again, she was ignored by the oldest. A frown made on the short-haired face as she thought, „What the hell is wrong with that weirdo?‟
