29. Setting Things Right

Izuku watches with wide golden emerald, tear-filled eyes as the light fades slowly away.

He peers down at the male still in his arms with a rapid heartbeat hoping against hope that he'll see gorgeous crimson eyes once again.

The angel almost jumps out of his skin when he sees those eyes snap open suddenly as Katsuki takes a gasping breath.

Izuku watches in disbelief as the chains of death that once bound his boyfriend tightly release their icy grasp and life comes back to a blonde-haired troublemaker who came into his life and changed everything.

Crimson eyes finally meet his again as the blonde stares up at him in confusion.

" Deku? What.. what the fuck happened and.. are you an angel again?! Am I dead, is this heaven?! Someone better fucking explain this shit to me because I feel like I have one hella hangover."

Izuku breaks into a laugh with tears still down his face so happy to hear Katsuki's voice once again.

" No Kacchan, this isn't heaven and this is going to sound crazy but.. but.. you did die. You aren't dead now but.. but you were and ..and I couldn't bare a life without you if it had stayed that way. I am an angel again I guess but just like you're confused I am too as to how exactly that happened."

The blonde looks up at him in shock. Suddenly flashes of him falling off the roof of the highrise play in his head.

He's getting ready to ask questions when All Might steps into view of both of them.

The pair stare up at him seeing him smile.

" I believe I can answer that question for you Izuku. I'm the only one who can honestly."

Crimson eyes narrow cause he's never seen this guy before but he knows the hell his greenett went through with most of heaven.

The blonde sits up on his own putting a protective arm around Izuku.

" Oi, who are you? And don't think you're gonna be dragging him off to Bible camp again. You got something to say you can do it right here in front of both of us."

Izuku goes wide-eyed.

" Kacchan! Please.. please don't be rude. This.. this is All Might and he's..he's the one who brought you back to me."

Crimson eyes meet now clear emerald ones. Yes, he's heard of All Might through Izuku's stories but in his mind, this changes nothing.

" Yeah well, he's also the one who stripped your wings and almost took your life when he made you fall just for loving me. So I'm sorry if I'm not feeling all that warm and fuzzy toward him right now."

Touya actually snickers from where he stands making Hawk's look over at him.

" Damn. I knew I liked him.", he whispers.

Hawk's shouldn't smile at this but he does, he can't help it. The boldness of the blonde is remarkable at this point.

All Might raises a brow but then a smile works its way to his face as he lets out a chuckle that surprises the greenett.

" I can understand your bitterness child. Chances are I would feel the same. The boldness you speak is spoken from a place of love and protection. I can't be upset with you for that. I see how much you care for the angel in your hold. That speaks a lot of you Katsuki Bakugo. You would have made a good guardian."

The blonde rolls his eyes at the last statement.

"I'll fucking pass if this is what heaven and angels are all about. I saw what Deku went through, felt his pain at being torn away from me, watch angels threatening his life and mine and I'm not sure of the details yet but one thing I do fucking know is that if I died those sons of bitches had something to do with it."
