7. Test

Katsuki stands up on the beam suddenly, quickly, too quickly in fact making Izuku raise a brow at this troublesome blonde because what is he up to?

Izuku's heart rate picks up as he watches Katsuki move swiftly across the beams his eyes looking over the edge as if he's looking for something specific.

Izuku moves behind him watching.

" Kacchan what are you doing?", he whispers it and normally when he's invisible he can't be heard but when he sees Katsuki stop suddenly his eyes wide looking around him in all directions he wonders if he was just heard.

He was, or at least Katsuki thinks he heard something, like someone whispering his name from someplace in a distance, almost like it's being carried on the wind that's moving around him.

He shakes it off and keeps moving looking over the edge.

He smirks suddenly seeing a blue tarp that lies over something.

Katsuki Bakugo is a daredevil, a risk taker and this what he's about to do could go a couple of ways.

He could die from the fall instantly, he could land on his target, still maybe with a few injuries but he'll survive, or he could be saved by this so-called guardian.

That last one seems the least likely because that is obviously bullshit, but either way, what's he got to lose.

He moves from the edge appearing like he's just going to go back to work and is over whatever little outburst he just had making Izuku let out a relieved breath he's been holding but suddenly without warning Katsuki turns and takes off at a run a wild look in those ruby eyes and a smirk on his face.

Izuku's heart drops to his stomach as he watches the blonde take a running leap off the 30-foot rise.

" Kacchan!!"

Angel wings burst from behind a green-eyed angel's back as he blinks himself off the edge right behind his charge.

Katsuki is falling, free falling out of the sky, his mind is rampant with thoughts as his heart beats almost out of his chest.

Nothing is happening he thinks, he knew it, those beautiful green eyes had lied to him and this was possibly how he was going to meet his end.

He closes his eyes resigning himself to whatever was about to come when suddenly it's like time slows down and he's moving in almost slow motion right before he hits the ground.

Ruby eyes snap open, he doesn't see anything but he definitely feels himself not falling, more floating, and now before he even knows it he's laid gently on the blue tarp he had aimed for.

He leaps to his feet, heart hammering against his ribs, ruby eyes frantically searching. His mind racing because holy fuck it's true, it has to be because there's no way that he would have landed the way he just did without help and a lot of it.

" Deku??!", he calls the nickname as he looks around the space.

But he sees nothing.

" Izuku?! I know you're here dammit, where are you?!"

But Izuku stays silent, stays hidden because this is what this reckless blonde wanted, what he yelled, what he told Izuku to do, disappear and stay that way. So that's exactly what he does.

Be careful what you wish for.

Katsuki looks around still, breathless, hand on his hip trying to settle his breathing and rapid heart.

He clicks his tongue feeling a wave of disappointment hit him.

Suddenly there's a familiar voice.

" Bakubro?! How .. how the heck did you get down here so fast?! There's only one way, one elevator and I was on it! " Kirishima asked wide-eyed and confused.
